"We drove 20 miles to pick up takeout from Crannag and it was definitely worth the drive. We ordered the confit duck and a veggie pizza, both of which were delicious. My husband kept commenting on how it felt like we were dining in a French restaurant, and he was spot on. If reopening in Bonar Bridge isn't feasible, opening a location in Golspie could be a great idea. The locals would surely appreciate it, and those traveling the NC 500 route would be thrilled to have a new dining option."

"With almost certainly one of the best views from any restaurant for miles and miles, this place has the staff, food quality and reasonable pricing to match. I’ve been coming here for ages (as a local) and have seen it change over the years but the current team really are awesome. Whether it’s a morning brew, a family meal or sundown beers with friends, this place caters for it all and does it well. It has a lovely inclusive family atmosphere and the staff really are the friendliest around. The pizzas are restaurant quality for takeaway prices and the selection is really good. The starters are lovely too (though I must admit I’ve only ever ordered them once because the pizzas are so filling). All-in-all this is a no brained for a really good pizza in an outstanding location. I’d 100% recommend this place to absolutely anyone. One of the best filey has to offer. Love it."

"This place is the undisputed champion of Merstham!!! After and exhilarating walk. We stopped off for an early dinner treat. Our lovely waitress Beth, who is a massive asset to the company, served us with a calm, kind and knowledgeable attitude. Given that we had one coffee connoisseur and an Italian specialist in tow. My coffee a perfectly blended flat white was delicious and well rounded. The pizza bits were truly tasty, the sharing platter was balanced and flavourful and the salads were light and refreshing. The tiramisu was a little dense and could have done with the usual coffee liqueur, but the lemon cheesecake had depth a nice lemony tang all the way through. I’m not sure all the tips are going to the staff but I’d ask them before paying. All in all and exquisite experience thanks to the knowledge, quality and dedication to serve from brilliant Beth and the pizza chef"

"My 6 yr old son was next to me ask if he could get some strawberry and raspberry that was in front of us for snack later. I said yes of course and I told him to pick it up because my hands were full. As soon as he was about to pick it up. A male staff told him dont touch it unless you have the money to pay for it. I told him its OK I am paying for them. Then he went oh ok then. No apology. The shop is very small and my son was picking the plastic box of berries very carefully, as you would with fresh berries . Other customs pick up other veg with bare hand with no covering on the fruit and veg was not greeted this way. The staff touch card machine and carry on touch ready premade food with no glove or washing hands. None of the staff had face mask on with fresh pre mix salad all displayed with no covering in front of them. But as soon as anyone pick up a plastic box of berries you WILL be questioned if you have MONEY to pay for them before even looking at them. Bare in mind I am chinese and most of the customers that went in are all middle age or older white people. I don't know if that made a difference but it look very uncomfortable for me as a consumer. Most people brought coffee or a pastry but i was brought over 15 products from that place. I wish I never went there and I will never go there again. The selection of food was poor to. There is a better selection across the road in the mini maet that sold everything you need and so much better customer service. I went to the mini mart after I lifted this deli place I should of gone there first. Dont waste your money like I did. Another option is to go to the cafe by the pier, the staff there are so Nice and you get a better selection than the deli."

"Been here a few times but not in a long while, still the same set up. Staff very friendly, very engaging and made the experience lovely in general. Explained also offered they had which also are marked clearly on menu. I opted for the smaller lunch offer which was absolutely lovely, sun-dried gave it an extra kick and therefore pleasant on the palate. Pizza was flavoursome, warm and hit the spot. No desserts this time as I was with someone with a nut allergy but we both had enough to eat anyway. Hopefully not as long next time for my return here."

"We were limited at eating at many of the 200+ vegetarian restaurants in London due to the ultra high prices. Yet we did get to half a dozen uninspiring places. Then there was Super Singh's. Due to the combination of the pricing at the restaurant and our hunger for GREAT food, the cashier in typical Indian logic requested we get not so much food as we could never finish it. The 3.5 of us ended up ordering 6 meals plus a pizza through out the night. Most went to our bellies, some went for take out. The next day we did the same thing. For 3 straight days we were filled with delicious food that we could not find in Italy, Switzerland, France and especially England. (Germany did have a wonderful place to eat) Super Singh's mostly serves comfort food. French fries with toppings on them. Seitain wraps and pizza. They could improve on the pizza. The crust was great, but the sauce was off. Everything else was INCREDIBLE. As for the reason why the food is so incredible, it became obvious once speaking to the owner/chef. He absolutely poors his heart and love into this. Rarely do you get to meet someone so genuine. As for the lady who suggested that she was treated rudely. I have lived in India for many years. They are a logic based society and have their own way of approaching business. They are not always the most gracious of people inside of business, including service based businesses such as restaurants. Outsiders of their culture, often times view them as rude,myself included. It is not their intentions. If you can get past the first level of rudeness and talk to them for a moment, they will quickly open up to you as family. That happens in only a matter of moments. Enjoy the food here. It is comparatively incredibly inexpensive and perhaps the best tasting food in all of Europe. Just be sure to exercise afterwards!"

"Lovely looking pub and decor suggests it would serve decent food-very wrong. When we went to order the first thing they said was a list of pub foods they didn’t have from the very short menu. The menu was very old fashioned and ‘normal’, the food served was even less impressive. They charge the prices for food that an up market pub would but quality of a school canteen. The meat portions were large but under-cooked, despite us asking for ‘well done’. A gammon steak came with a mountain of cheap, dried up peas and chips, no garnish or presentation. The burgers had no garnish, as the photos on here show and certainly did not look like their advertisement. Their excuse was “we are in transition from 1 menu tip another, so running stocks down”. They had no eggs, chilli and various other staples you may expect. Why would you “run down” stocks just because of a menu change? I have never encountered this before. Such a shame. The pub/restaurant itself could be thriving, despite being in a village,if the owners wanted it to succeed. Good quality at reasonable prices attracts custom. Most definitely will not return."

"Not sure what the deal is but..... Shot bald owner has zero people skills, not even a thank you. Last two pizzas gave me bad diarrhea. Pizza before those didn't have all the veg toppings. "Starter was incorrect but I accepted it anyway as the young server guy looked embarrassed. Then my Main was given to another person in my party as the server said it was olives. This person took a bite and confirmed it was the wrong pizza so the server took it from her and gave it to me. A bite removed and teeth marks included. I asked for a discount and was told I would get it. Instead they remade my pizza, and then a different server told me it was the other customer's fault and the original server did not state olives, yet 15 people heard him do so. So finally got main 2 hours and 15mins after arriving when most of my party had finished eating. Totally tasteless. Most bland pizza ive had hence I asked if I wanted a box to take it home as I had left so much. The customer is apparently wrong. Wrong starter and charged full price waiting longer than anyone else after being served a bitten pizza?? Never again!!"

"Tonight’s offering is a “ dirty Dinos “.. the more traditional British fare. I ordered the large donner, chilli sauce, salad and garlic. This is, I find, the yardstick of every kebab retailer. The package arrived by a friendly delivery driver. The very smell took me back to Essex in my early 20s, to a certain nightclub where I met a young lady. After a trip to the local kebab shop she still managed, while holding a kebab in either hand to...... ahem. Apologies, I digress. A gentleman should never share secrets where a young lady has let her horses run free...back to the kebab. Unbelievably added to the order was a bonus cheesy garlic bread. We all love a freebie. On opening the tray a deep breath was inhaled. By the sight , you knew that this was a well put together masterpiece.. overflowing with meaty slices of heaven , the pitta is bursting at the seams. A correct portion of sauce was added, not too much, not too little. The salad is served on the side with a plethora of diced onions. I know I am in for a treat. I brace myself and my dripping maw meets the delicacy. This kebab bursts into my mouth , and my senses swim as if kissed by a tender mermaid. The meat is grilled to a turn, the chilli is spicy enough to create a “dab on” complimented by the garlic Mayo. And HELLO, what is this? A pickle served under the pitta to give correct sogginess. This is a stroke of genius. A gift from the gods. If I was a man who marked , this would receive a 4.5 skewers out of 5 rating.No one gets a 5 or who would strive for perfection? This is now my “go to” traditional British kebab shop."

"canot fault the service our steaks arrived a little later than expected , but the waiter told us they like to cook their steaks slow and let them sit before serving as this ads to the texture and flavour. Once they arrived one of the steaks looked not up to par by the waiter so he had another cooked free of charge , also a portion of chips free as well. Overall a great meal but they arrived with salad instead of chips , maybee a misunderstanding on our behalf, meals are either with chips or veg or salad . But overall a great meal well cooked."

"We always have good food and excellent service when we visit. We recently tried Pizza Night, well l can honestly say the pizzas were the best we have had. Try the chicken with BBQ sauce, the Greek salad was good, my hubby had a good beer, my latte was just as l like it and my 5yr old grandson was very impressed with the pizza. We must do this again.
