"I came in for a meal with my god-daughter who has just moved to Guildford. Olivo is a good restaurant and I have eaten here before so I felt it was a good choice for her first dining experience in Guildford. I was pleased that we had a nice evening. We shared a starter and then both had mains and coffee. The food was excellent as ever. Very nice service as ever from very professional cheerful and attentive staff. Very reasonable too. It was a good sign that the restaurant was busy on a cold dark Thursday in early January. I definitely recommend Olivo and will come again."

"I have eaten in Sale e Pepe before and really enjoyed it. I needed to eat quickly and popped in to see if they had a table for 1. They did and I ordered spaghetti Carbonara and a large whiskey and coke. They brought some bread. I asked for butter. I didn’t get it. The spaghetti arrived quickly and it looked strange. It was like a solid lump of pasta. Very sticky and gluey. I ate a few mouthfuls but couldn’t eat anymore. I told the waiter and he brought the maitre de over. He asked if I wanted something else but as I was in a hurry I declined. I asked for the bill. He had taken the pasta of but it was still £21. So I had virtually nothing to eat and charged £17 for a whiskey. Given the situation I would have expected him to say ‘no charge’ This is a very reputable restaurant but I was very disappointed and hungry."

"Zonzo's is a local of ours as we live nearby. I met a couple of friends for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago. We chose bruschetta salmone affumicato which was simply delicious and lived up to any canape you could have. The tricolore was wonderful and it was a very generous portion! Moving on to the mains the pollo rosemarino was succulent and my spag bol was very similar to what I used to order in Italy when I lived there. The service was impeccable all conducted under the watchful eye of the head waiter, Wais! He looked after his customers with patience and empathy. It's a tough time for the hospitality industry but Zonzo's seems to be in the winning lane!!!"

"I am very surprised at some of the reviews here or maybe I live on another planet! Possibly the best Italian I have had in London! Really good. Small restaurant in Hampstead, limited tables which are very close together. I went for a very late lunch at 15:30 on a Sunday afternoon which was a good idea as it was much quieter then. Staff were super friendly. Service was very efficient. Lovely cosy and homely! Felt like being back in Italy. Big selection on the menu from pizza to pasta, meat, fish, desserts and more. I went with the angel hair pasta with, olive oil, garlic, chilli, king prawns, cherry tomato and courgettes. Divine beyond words! Generous in portion size, tasty, well presented, freshly made and each mouthful was a delight. So good. I had a soft drink with it. I don't drink alcohol but they have an extensive wine menu too. I gladly polished off my lunch. Clean restaurant. Nice atmosphere and delicious lunch. Reasonably priced for the area. Highly recommend."

"excellent dining experience” 5 out of 5 stars rated on 15 november 2013 new although it is ideal for a pre-theater menu when they visit the hippodrome, eating in milano is worthy to take over the time because it is very good in the did. the menu offers a great choice regarding the price including a fixed tariff pre-theatre that my partner enjoyed very much. as glutton I could not resist the daily special of lobster linguine and I cannot resist that milano was from a generous amount and high quality; both courses were delicious. the tables are beautifully designed and the service is friendly and attentive. I have absolutely no criticism to make (I didn't like the desserts, but I don't like Italian desserts and can hardly blame them for being authentic! . as a pre-oper menu (especially if the opera is Italian! "Great Italian Food on Harrogate Road If you're looking for an exceptional Italian dining experience, this restaurant on Harrogate Road comes highly recommended. From the moment we walked in until we left, the service was flawless. Starters We began with three starters: Tempura Prawns, Avocado Crab Tian, and Gamberoni Marechiaro. Each dish was perfect. The Gamberoni sauce was beautifully seasoned, the tempura batter was just right, and the Crab Tian was well balanced and seasoned. Main Courses: For the main course, we ordered the Fish Feast Platter for one (which could easily serve 1.5 people), Carbonara, and Linguine Pescatore. "We arranged to have a celebration meal for my sons birthday. We obviously wanted to make a fuss over him turning 9. I arranged it when we originally booked and also spoke to the waitress who took our order and delivered our first 2 courses on two occasions. She even took a note of my sons details but then nothing ever happened. Will probably head back for a meal at some point. But feel a bit frustrated over how much we paid with very little back. Only 2 adults one child and a toddler. Now we're home I feel I could have better spent the money on something else. Bit of an anti climax to our afternoon/ evening."

"as soon as they enter the restaurant, they feel the warmth of the server. Before I commented on their dishes, I would like to say that the server were exceptional! they were very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and more. our experience here was much better because of the staff. for eating! I have eaten a lot of authentic Italian food, and la galleria sits right on the zaun of authenticity. the dishes we ate were delicious in view of the price, but if authentic Italian cuisine is what they are looking for, they could be a bit disappointed here. only light. "This was our first visit to Connubio since we recently moved to Crouch End. We were very warmly greeted, seated, and shown the menus. The waiter a young guy with glasses was really friendly and helpful, giving us good recommendations for white wine to start us off (the Frascato). We then ordered the calamari to start; two lamb cutlets, a king prawn pasta, the sea bass as mains; and a side of mixed leaf salad. The calamari was delicious super fresh and soft and tasty. The pasta and sea bass were great too but we found the lamb cutlets to be disappointing. They were rather bland and without any depth or flavour, including the mashed potato with olive pate. On paper they sounded great but the dish didn't deliver. Our mixed salad also took so long to make an appearance (it still hadn't arrived when we were 3/4 through our mains) that we decided to cancel it We fed these two shortcomings back to the owner who genuinely seemed crestfallen about this, as it is his family run business. During the main meal, we had a wonderful red wine with the meal again recommended by the young waiter the Don Vito Prestige Salento. To round things off, we had the tiramisu. Oh. My. God. It was so good there's only one better that I've ever had. It was very light and we'll balanced between the coffee and the liqueur. Not overly sweet. Overall I'd recommend going to Connubio da Fabio. It has a lovely and classy vibe, friendly staff (although the female waitress tonight really just couldn't care less), and overall really great food. Just a shame about the bland lamb and the salad which had to be cancelled but everything else was great. The owner was kind enough to offer us a gesture of goodwill for our feedback. I will definitely come back again to try more of their food and wine!"

"this is by far one of my favorite restaurants to visit the city center. I have always visited with a gourmet society card, which means 50% of the total bill. the restaurant also offers a lunch that is absolutely worth it. even at full price are the parts enormous and excellent. I recommend the quattrozero board. this is an excellent taste of all the best of the dish antipasto, paprika salat, arancini, calamari. we had this in the past for two, but believe me, there is more than enough for four. Now as gluten-free diner, italian is not a kitchen that I would choose in the rule. I was very impressed when they offered me a gluten-free pizza. my other favorite option is the melanzane parmigiana as a lasagne, but with cut aubergine instead of pasta leaves. a word of warning, although- the portion is huge and I have begun to ask for half a part as I can never finish it! my non-GF friends were always satisfied with their meal times. what is really great is this place offers so much more than just pizza/pasta, but right, delicious Italian cuisine. quattro zero never lets you impress. the staff is wonderful and the food is delicious filling and comforting. make sure to add it to their lists."

"I have been dining at this restaurant since it first opened, and have ordered from them countless times through delievroo. My family even had them cater my son's birthday party 14 years ago. However, during my most recent visit, the service was unacceptably chippy, and the food was a complete disaster. The starters took so long to arrive that we were famished, and when they finally did come, we discovered the calamari was inedible and likely not even made in their kitchen. The rest of the food seemed to be microwaved and lacked any semblance of being home cooked. The service was poorly managed, with us having to physically get up and go to the kitchen after waiting over an hour for our food. The overall experience was so disappointing that I can confidently say it was the worst meal I have ever been served in my life. I have been a loyal customer for 23 years, but after this experience, I will be avoiding this restaurant at all costs. It's a shame to see how it has changed under new ownership. A simple M&S ready meal would have been a far better and more enjoyable option."

"This is my fifth time at this restaurant. It's an Italian restaurant. The waiters are very friendly and there is no service charge. Pizza is made on site, starting with the dough! Shrimp rice is very delicious, sticky rice with bouncing prawns, is a must order! The scallop pasta is really recommended, it's a little bit bland, but the scallop is just right. Raw Scotch beef is a great starter and a great accompaniment to cheese. Will come again!"

"Small, busy and crowded restaurant but with a great ambience and a welcoming vibe. The food, when it came, was very good indeed. We ate early on a very hot Saturday evening and had to wait more than an hour for our starters to arrive. The service, though friendly and efficient (requests were actioned properly and promptly with a smile) suffered from a kitchen that didn't seem able to keep up with the orders. In fairness, this might have been because the place was packed with diners the whole time. This meant it was a very noisy restaurant and it was hard for our table of 4 to hear one another speak without shouting. The location is excellent and we will definitely come back possibly at a quieter time of day/week."

"I'm really not one for complaining but my anger at the treatment I received in this restaurant is such that I feel I need to vent it as much as possible and let anybody considering eating here know how the management feel about paying customers. We came here with friends to celebrate our engagement and had a very pleasant lunch with great service. Then after we had paid we were approached by the manager and very rudely told we really had to leave now as he needed the table. We had no prior request to do so but we eat out all the time and are well aware that this is often asked of diners. Do not have a problem with this. Where my problem lies is the way we were spoken to and humiliated in front of a busy restaurant. He then went on to call us liars, argued with us and his response when we said we wouldn't be back was well don't be back We were basically dumped onto the pavement after paying for lunch. I hate having to complain and I'd rather fix problems when they occur but there was no talking to this arrogant little man. I read reviews all the time to make restaurant choices and I hope the management of this place realise that if you treat customers in such a shocking way that we can actually do something about and make others aware of what to expect. There is a vast array of other dining options in Glasgow so choose wisely and give your hard earned money to people who work for it and truly appreciate your custom."
