"This place masquerades as a fine dining venue with its decor and expensive wines but is in reality a corporate establishment rather than a restaurant run with love and passion. There is an army of staff and if you order the set menu be prepared to have your food served at high speed and the quality was highly reminiscent of wedding food- corporate- with a conveyor belt feel to it. "My girlfriend and I have only visited a couple of times however we always get such a warm welcome. The shop is very sweet with plenty of great photo opportunities for your social media. The drinks themselves are fantastic! There is an extensive menu and you can customise your toppings. We are now on a mission to try each flavour combination. A personal favorite of mine is the brown sugar milk tea with oreo (pictured right) the one on the left is taro milk tea with coconut jelly."

"Skylon is a curate 's egg. The location with stunning wide river view is hard to beat, but you are literally paying for that. The staff are welcoming and attentive (apart from not taking coats, which are hard to accomodate at the tables . Skylon 's prices in particular on drinks are over the top for the fare on offer. Skylon is the 'brasserie ' end ' of the room, but two of us still paid £150 for 2 courses each and a £40 bottle of wine between us (one of few 'affordable ' options on the list . My halibut was delicious but inexcusably tepid it was cooked OK so must have sat around before despatch to table. Frankly if I have to spend that much to enjoy this venue I will stick to the Skylon Grill at the other end of the room in future at least there are tablecloths and comfy seats there ; (However, I was lucky not to book there this time there was a large and very noisy party taking place in the Grill . Heads up for the over 40 's the dim lighting makes a nice ambience but doesn 't work well with menus printed in grey, small font. Reading glasses and phone light recommended!"

"We had made a reservation for 17:30 and received a confirmation email for the booking. We were looking quite forward to enjoying a meal there as we had heard that the restaurant had great food and service. Unfortunately the booking system had made a mistake and put our booking in for 11:00 instead of 17:30. The manager with glasses a short hair, refused to give us her name was extremely rude when handling this issue. We showed her our confirmation email and she completely disregarded it. The least she could have done is apologies for the mistake the system had made. She spoke to us as we were idiots. It is unacceptable to treat a customer this way. The place look really nice unfortunately with a manager like that, it reflects on the owners of the establishment. I will not be recommending this restaurant and will encourage friends not to go there. Rather go to Ask Italian where we had no booking but they happily accommodated us and their food and service is great."

"Non existent customer service. They also don’t have anything you want to order we tried to order a chocolate sundae, cookie dough, milkshake, chocolate fudge cake and was told they were all not available. This was after paying. The entire party had to then choose alternatives they weren’t entirely keen on because we had already paid. I find it hard to believe they didn’t know before. We also witnessed a staff member being quite unkind to another employee who was taking orders, and seating walk ins, telling him off and telling him to wash plates instead of seating walk ins. When our food did arrive, only 2 out of the 3 items came. We waited 25 mins for a Sundae to arrive, when it didn’t we told the staff who said it was coming. It then took 10mins for this to arrive. It really shouldn’t take 35 mins to put some ice cream in a bowl. Youre better off going to Heavenlys down the road. Don’t waste your time here."

"It is my first time in this Frankie&Bennys but I have been many times in other ones. I came with my partner to have dinner and we were totally disappointed with the service given. The waitress a young lady, brunette and short hair took the wrong order. We wanted to have all the food together and not starters and mains as we had a cinema date.We got the starters, (never asked it they were ok) and when we got the mains (after waiting for a while) they were completely wrong and poorly presented. it was 2 carbonara, 1 with extra mushrooms and 1 w chicken and nduja sausage . We got the pasta without any bacon at all and we were like, where is the bacon? The waitress passed our order totally wrong to the kitchen, no bacon and chicken and mushrooms instead. We were offered for fresh new ones instead and this also took a long time to arrive. They came again the second time wrong, my partners pasta had no sausage this time. After being told they did it in. I asked the manager to have a closer look and once he did he agreed there was no nduja. At this point we decided to just eat as we were already too late for our cinema booking. The service overall was shocking. The waitress and waiter seemed they didn’t care at all about the job and the customers. No check backs on food even after the issues were raised. They never asked if we wanted more drinks! Definitely really poor customer service and they never tried to make it better. My advice to the GM of these place, get ride of these staff who make the brand Frankie&Bennys a really bad place to eat. They never gave us any discount or apology or tried to give us a sweet to forget the nightmare. I’ll def not coming back to this restaurant anymore!"

"Came here for my grans birthday a few weeks ago, admittedly, I was unimpressed by the interior. However, that was straight out mind the second that our server, Emily, attended to us. There could not have been a greater example of “service with a smile”. She had no problem giving recommendations based on our own personal preferences, and catered to our every need. "I had confirmed my booking with Burton Restaurant on my phone, but it did not go through. Although I had not reserved the preferred table, they were able to accommodate us. "Had recently seen posts on Facebook regarding this restaurant having new management and thought we'd pop in pre-film. Visited on Saturday night (7th May) with my family, booked a table well in advance, were greeted very nicely upon entry which always makes things a lot nicer. Upon seating we noticed that something wasn't quite right, the restaurant was pretty much full, the most full we've seen it in a long while to be honest, partway through us ordering our drinks the manager went into the kitchen we assumed to speak with his kitchen team, he didn't come back out through the duration of our meal. We could see the cooks trying their hardest and we knew that the wait on our food would be a while. Me and my daughter watched the cooks and observed the team, working in hospitality myself I am more aware, filling in for one another. The place where the manager was somebody had replaced, another manager was speaking to tables. In summary, we waited long, but we knew about it in advance, the food was good when it eventually came, the manager did come around towards the end of our meal and spoke to us at length regarding the issue that had led to the events and his honesty was refreshing, the team were obviously strained however there were still smiles, sounds of laughter, overall the service was great, food was good, communication was brilliant. The only negative was an older couple at the entrance being extremely rude when told they couldn't be seated, which the female manager dealt with very well may I add. Will return for sure. Well done!"

"Five star worthy experience this afternoon. First time here and have to say the place is really cool. I appreciate it when popular eateries dedicate a page on their menu to unmistakable certified vegan options. The options are plenitude as well. Great restaurant choice for a warm vegan pizza and a classic milkshake in a retro glass- loved this so much. Decor is so cosy and also retro- warm dim lighting, comfy booths. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their lunch. The two chefs on the weekday lunch shift today (one male, one female were very quick at servicing the food orders and seemed like they enjoy their profession- I hope the company treats them well as they deserve the recognition. To be blunt for a second, I appreciate that the chefs here wear hair caps as I have seen too many places in which chefs do not? My waiter had a good personality, acknowledged my wish to eat from the vegan menu. She had a relaxed vibe about her. I think she (Nicole makes the Exeter branch special. I came alone but I imagine it would be a fantastic place to bring a loved one and share a meal together : Must say one last time the interior design is bang on- even in the toilets! Fun change of music as well- not typical commercialised tunes. The likes of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Acklin and lesser known ones like Freddie the Dreamers. What a joy!"

"My partner and I visited Frankie and Benny’s, The Derwen Designer Outlet Village, Bridgend for lunch during a shopping trip. We were greeted promptly and shown to a table but we asked if we could be sat near a window which was fine. We ordered drinks my partner had a Diet Coke and I ordered a glass of Peroni which didn’t look or taste like Peroni? My partner had lasagne which was satisfactory but lacked any real meat content and I had the hot dog with fries which I enjoyed. The food is basically pub grub at probably the going rate and filled a little hole until we could get home for tea. We wouldn’t rush back to any Frankie and Benny’s again and were disappointed on the amount of quality eateries available at the Village Outlet."

"The food at this restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. I recommend checking out the offers section on the Frankie and Benny's website, where I found a £10 off voucher. The quality of the food here is similar to that of Bella Italia, but I personally prefer Ask when comparing big chain restaurants. "A lovely mid week treat after our work out we were greeted politely and seated quickly. There was a delay in ordering due to the social chat being had prior to the customer in front placing there order and for the period of time the chat continued after the order was placed. However our order was taken efficiently and they were accommodating. The puddings came and they were delicious! Mine was piping hot and melting in the mouth, my friends was lovely! "Easy to get to, nice seating. Service was slow, expensive meals with chips!! Poor choice of food for children. Poor quality burger for child's meal, poor choice of lettuce with cheap quality buns. Hubby had a large burger but he was very disappointed with his. Having said that, my tuna was delicious, nicely cooked well presented, nicely portioned. If all standards followed this dish, stars awarded would be higher. Overall disappointing experience due to higher price comes with higher expectations! We will not be returning anytime soon. "Disappointingly average food and a confused main menu choices on a Sunday of roast dinners one last pink beef at 5pm that wasn't pink it was well done) and sandwiches and hot roast sandwiches with chips, special was lobster and was quite expensive for the quality. Also a bit eclectic in the interior design back to the 80's in the conservatory and a different style in the main room with a hotch potch of accessories in the mix. Overall just OK, better pubs nearby for a Sunday with friends."

"I ordered peri peri chicken, but it was just a small plain piece of chicken with supermarket bought peri peri sauce poured on top. The chicken is supposed to be cooked with the sauce, not poured on top afterwards. The chicken tasted like it had been left out for days. The salad was barely fresh. You would n't even feed a dog that meat, never mind a human. That is how sick it was. The meal was supposed to include grilled corn, but did n't. If you don't have what is listed on the menu, why not say, instead of stealing money from a customer. At £18, the same meal and drink would have been both edible and half the price at the wetherspoon's. Why the bar staff could n't check what was being served, ask me about the meal or check-back was a disgrace. The staff only want to deal with white people. I won't return to this venue."
