A savory mix of foraged wild mushrooms, lightly sautéed with herbs and garlic for a flavorful delight.

"large eating and service, as one would expect from coq d 'argent. a little disturbing was that the opentable booking through it as an outdoor / all fresco booking (31 dez,! which was not mentioned everywhere in the opentable booking information. the second time has happened to us now when we book with opentable in various restaurants and start thinking that this is a malus 'worn' from restaurants for not to book directly about them?! leaving was a little time-consuming as it took a good 5 minutes to return the weights."

"Hoi Polloi is a cool retro/hipster place to eat with 70's retro design. So if your criteria for a good restaurant is a modern/updated flashing design, Hoi Polloi is not the place for you. We came for dinner and we were left with a big smile on our faces. The selection on the menu is nice, though it's definitely not one of these menus that take you hours to read, leaving you confused with endless options, and still there's enough selection for everyone. The food was great, nice portions, well made. Hospitality was great and the staff was handy in recommending drinks. We really enjoyed our dinner. Thanks for the experience."

"Charlottes W5 used to be one of our favourite places to eat and to entertain friends but recently things seem to have gone a bit wrong here. When we arrived we were told that most of the fresh fish dishes were not available because the supplier had not delivered possibly a worrying sign? The sweet potato gnocchi were not good, the other mains were ok. The service however was very patchy and not up to standard for the prices they charge, in my opinion. it wasn't busy but we had to attract attention to order and ask for the drinks menu twice. Chips were forgotten, coffee was forgotten, the staff looked harassed. On the plus side, the starters arrived promptly and were good (although for some reason the Caesar salad was not available? Odd) and the waitress offered a free pudding in exchange for one plate of uneaten gnocchi. We may return ourselves but regrettably I don't think we'll be taking the chance of inviting friends there again."

"We called in here by chance and were not disappointed. A relaxed vibe, tasty food and friendly staff. We were asked if we wanted breakfast or brunch and we chose brunch. My husband had the Breakfast bun and I had the wild mushrooms served on toasted bread. Both were so tasty! We were offered water for the table, tea was served in a pot and I had the Elderflower fizz, which took a while to arrive but our waiter who originally took the order swiftly chased it up. The vibe is cool, relaxed and the decor quirky. Large glass windows allow you to people watch as you eat. Prices are reasonable for London with two meals, a tea and a drink coming in at £43. Seating can accommodate larger groups and also couples."

"We reserved two tables for our upcoming visit, which allowed us to choose our preferred seating area in the restaurant. The menu selection was excellent, and the food was delicious. The service was very attentive and good. We visited on a Sunday and opted for the lunch package. My only minor critique is that the Yorkshire puddings were excessively large, overshadowing the rest of the meal. Unfortunately, they were unappealing and went to waste, as no one at our table could finish one. Despite this, it’s an amazing restaurant, and we’re thrilled that it's within walking distance for us."

"First may I start with Langans in December is one of the best this year I was very disappointed to be literally thrown out of the restaurant along with everyone else for a private party hire they cleared the tables whilst you were sitting at them and I had my chair taken whilst I was getting up!! A few people in the restaurant knew this was happening before their booking but I booked in August and had no idea until I got there where I would have changed my date! The food is ok service and ambience excellent !!! Just left very disappointed I was not warned about the closure"

"I was disappointed with my experience. The food was much better during our last visit. My poached egg was almost cold, and the mushrooms and poached egg were served on some heavy, soggy bread that was meant to be toast. It’s a pity because everything was delicious before. For dessert, there was no rice pudding, which was one of the main reasons we chose to come here. However, the chocolate fondant was delightful. On the positive side, the service was excellent."

"This was my third visit and I loved it. They have the best brunch menu with breakfast and lunch choices and the waiters top your prosecco glass up very frequently! The service is great. Also, I love that it’s three courses as you feel it is good value for money and like a proper meal. One tip-lose the blue macaroon! :o)"

"I had an absolutely wonderful meal at The Sussex Pass. The Lemon Sole with Samphire and the Monk Fish Chicken Cassoulet were both incredibly delicious. The desserts were fantastic as well. The little details really stood out—fancy hand sanitizer on the table, lovely candles, and charming jugs for water made us feel truly pampered. Hats off to the entire Sussex Pass team; despite the numerous challenges posed by COVID, you are still providing exceptional food, service, and atmosphere. Your hard work is commendable. I can't wait to come back!"

"I had the pleasure of being served breakfast by Faith during my stay at the Dakota Hotel, and I must say that her service was exceptional. Faith was not only attentive but also incredibly helpful throughout my stay. She went above and beyond to ensure that I had a wonderful dining experience each morning. Her warm and friendly demeanor added a special touch to my stay, making it truly memorable. I greatly appreciate her dedication to providing outstanding service, and I highly recommend Faith to anyone visiting the Dakota Hotel. Thank you, Faith, for making my stay so enjoyable!"

"I ate at Bariloche with my family on a Friday night. What ruined the experience off the bat was the live music performer while the performance itself was fine, the music itself was so loud that the waiter could barely hear our order! We didn't order starters and the food took forever to arrive almost 30 minutes give or take. Shame because the meat dishes were actually very good, particularly the limo de bife. I'm afraid we shan't be returning, their offer of an after dinner drink on the house notwithstanding."

"The shepherd's pie was quite flavorful, but it could have benefited from some green vegetables instead of just sweet carrots and swedes. Having a small jug of gravy on the side would have also been a nice touch. The fish and chips were just average; there was too much batter and not enough fish, and the peas could have been better. However, the chunky chips were enjoyable. The kids opted for a selection from the small plates, and those were satisfactory. Overall, the experience was decent, but a bit pricey for what we received. Additionally, it would be great to see more fish and vegan options, as I'm not sure why the restaurant labels itself as vegan with only one or two choices available."

"I was only in Colchester for one night and stumbled upon this charming pub with friendly staff and customers. I planned on just grabbing a quick bite to eat but ended up staying until closing time. It's a fantastic local pub and definitely worth a visit."

"The breakfast was brilliant, really tasty and great value. The service was really disappointed though, friendly staff but just need to sort it out a bit. We ordered 4 breakfasts and soon after 3 arrived. The fourth order was off the menu but we hadn't been told and so had to order again from scratch, and even then the order was wrong despite it being checked twice. Drinks arrived after food and seemed chaotic. A shame really as the food was really really good!"

"We are regular diners and The Mitre is our local. We are quite disappointed with our lunch for the following reasons: 1) the service was slow because there was only one server working 2) the server needs to be more careful when serving drinks the teapot was leaking hot water (onto the table) when being poured there was a genuine risk of the water spilling on to one of our laps 3) one of the teapots had an old piece of mint inside they really do need to pay more attention to cleanliness 4) we informed the server of our daughter's allergies and were directed to an online allergen menu (using the QR code). However, all the menu options were not available we had to modify an existing dish from the menu (feels like a waste of time going to the online menu) 5) despite an empty dining area, we still had to wait nearly 20 minutes for our food the manager pointed out that we should expect to wait 20 25 minutes for food 6) we were informed that the food was made from scratch but that is questionable. The club sandwich was well received but the fish and chips was questionable the curry sauce was watery, the batter was soft and the chips tasted like they came from a foodservice company. Overall, we will not be coming back for food only for drinks."

"I went to have lunch today here and it was lovely and cosy! The food is always excellent and well served in such a neat pretty professional way. "I had the lamb which was cooked perfectly. The chips were cold with no heat at all and this was the same for all of us. The chips may have been lovely hot, but cold they certainly weren 't. Perhaps we should have sent them back but there were six of us and I don 't think we could have stood the wait of six meals being brought up to temperature. The broccoli was also cold (but this isn 't such a problem for broccoli). The peppers were good, the sauce indifferent. Dessert was a brownie with an intenesely tart passionfruit coulis. In itself it was fine, but to my taste didn 't go with the brownie at all and actively fought against it. On top of this was a mousse whose flavour I 'd call 'sweet ' (I think it was supposed to be chocolate). On top of this were some pieces of honeycomb which didn 't add (or take away) anything. A dessert which while not actively unpleasant, I 'd never want to eat again. I 've been in chain restaurants like Cote or Cafe Rouge where they make a rich, satisfying choclate fondant I 'd much, much rather have a competent dessert than one which tries too hard and fails. I didn 't have a starter as I usually struggle with three courses and sides. I had the main, shared two sides and had a dessert and, when I left, was still hungry. For £40 plus wine this was an expensive disappointment. Six diners, four not happy with the meal, and haven 't discussed it with the other two."
