"We are regular diners and The Mitre is our local. We are quite disappointed with our lunch for the following reasons: 1) the service was slow because there was only one server working 2) the server needs to be more careful when serving drinks the teapot was leaking hot water (onto the table) when being poured there was a genuine risk of the water spilling on to one of our laps 3) one of the teapots had an old piece of mint inside they really do need to pay more attention to cleanliness 4) we informed the server of our daughter's allergies and were directed to an online allergen menu (using the QR code). However, all the menu options were not available we had to modify an existing dish from the menu (feels like a waste of time going to the online menu) 5) despite an empty dining area, we still had to wait nearly 20 minutes for our food the manager pointed out that we should expect to wait 20 25 minutes for food 6) we were informed that the food was made from scratch but that is questionable. The club sandwich was well received but the fish and chips was questionable the curry sauce was watery, the batter was soft and the chips tasted like they came from a foodservice company. Overall, we will not be coming back for food only for drinks."

We ordered the chickpeas salad and there were exactly 7 chickpeas on it. The menu has changed since last time and not for better in my opinion

Overall another excellent lunch by Mitre. I had the Sunday rost and the potatoes were over cooked and hard but apart from that everything else was amazing View menu

We have lunch here most Sundays it’s usually wonderful. There was a different chef today and the Sunday lunch was really really poor hopefully the old chef is back next week !!!

Really good venison pie, sticky toffee pudding was outstanding, the service was great. Great wine Pinot Grigio btg. Not expensive. Lovely be back soon, and will keep returning no doubt.

Always great service. main course is always superb too, but the starters and desserts can be extraordinarily tasty and interesting. That goes for the cocktails too, very well made indeed. It T takes the event to a whole new level View menu

This was ihr First Time in London, Far away from Home, Germany. We got. an advise from a friend and it was worth it. The red Beet Hummus with Flat Break was amazing. The waitress was nice and friendly ! We loved it ! Absolutely rexommended

We booked lunch for four of us to celebrate a birthday. Upon arrival five milites before our boooing time we weren’t welcomed but instead asked to step outside as they weren’t ready. It wasn’t until two other groups had gone in and been seated that we were called in. Really poor customer experience. I had a salad that as a main was really small and underwhelming. The fish and chips my family had were nice. Such lack of warmth from the staff (no mention of the birthday despite the booking system asking whether it was a special occasion) warranted us getting the bill and leaving right after food with no dessert or coffees. We will not be coming again.
