"While I understand that Japanese cuisine is traditionally centred around fish and meat, I believe that it is important for restaurants to cater to a diverse range of dietary needs and preferences considering the climate impact of Intensive farms. In this day and age, many people are choosing to adopt more sustainable lifestyles and plant-based diets for health, ethical, and environmental reasons, and it is important for restaurants to keep up with these trends. I would like to suggest that you consider adding more vegan options to your menu, such as vegetable tempura, vegetable sushi rolls, and tofu dishes. These options would not only cater to vegans and vegetarians but would also appeal to those who are looking for healthier, plant-based options."

"Good food and great service. Had a table booked for midday with my son, we’re greeted promptly and shown to our table, couldn’t fault the service at all. Drinks were ordered and turned up quickly, we were slow in choosing our dishes due to the range of dishes available. Eventually we ordered starters of crispy fried mozzarella and king prawn gnocchi, followed by chicken Alfredo rigatoni and rigatoni alla rustica. Not long to wait and food was fresh cooked and hot, decent sized portions and very tasty. I had two pints of Birrifico Angelo Poretti and my boy a pint of Rekorderlig mixed berries cider, was a bit taken back when the bill turned up at nearly £71. Good food, great service but in my opinion on the expensive side for a lunch."

"I may be a bit biased since the sushi options where I live are not great in this price range. I couldn't afford the pricier sushi restaurants in London, nor here."

"Consistently shocking service. I feel like the person who works there has a future as a doctor's surgery receptionist, they do as much as possible to prevent you ordering. They try and get you to use a machine to order, which often doesn't work, and if you mention it you get scowled at. They seem unaware of how to fix it. They are extremely rude when you arrive and if you're lucky enough to get their attention they treat you as an inconvenience, manners don't exist. They are obviously focused on Deliveroo rather than walk ins for lunch. Sadly it's nice enough sushi (albeit a very confusing menu that makes no sense on the ordering machine) but the service is rude and confusing. This has happened on too many occasions now and I won't be returning."

"What is really disappointing is when you book a restaurant, they email you the day of your booking to confirm only to find that the entire restaurant has closed....!!!! Then, to top things off, Open Table email you to see how your visit was come on guys, get the technology aligned and remember to stop automated emails! A very very poor customer experience."

"Well... there 's a reason the staff don 't ask you how you 're food was. Not only are they clearly all dead behind the eyes, they know the food is massively over stated. The menu tantalizes you like a siren calling a sailor to his doom. £16.50 for a rib platter that comprised of a singular rib with less meat on the bone than if they pulled it off the carcass of a starved dog. £15+ for brisket which was 2 thin slices of beef with less flavor than a hookers panty liner, each mouthful brought less flavour than the last. For the price, I wouldn 't expect to get better at a Toby Carvery, but you certainly can! Each dish was served with roast potatoes and a pickle pot... A PICKLE POT!"

"A small and simple restaurant on Stoke’s Croft serving several different Asian dishes. We ordered tofu bao buns to share and I had a tofu rendang. The curry was nice but it just felt lacking in depth although the crunch vegetables made it a good eating experience. The flavours overlapped a lot between dishes and this meant that I was getting a lot of the same tastes with bites and I was a bit bored by the big slabs of tofu. The bao buns were very fluffy and my favourite part of the meal but expensive for £8. A nice atmosphere and they serve Asahi beer which is also vegan. Don’t be prepared to be blown away but it’s an enjoyable eating experience for a casual meal."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"I have lived in MK for 9 years and this time I come back to visit with my wife and daughter. Japanese restaurant is a good substitute for fish and chips. We found this small restaurant in Wolverton opposite Lidl. We had the appetizers Korean Kimchi and Chinese seaweed, both are of great standards. Then we had the crispy fried dumplings and sushi rolls . My wife took the eels rice, my daughter had the beef Yaki udon, and I took the eel teriyaki. Finally we had the Japanese ice-cream. The shop is not big so we had a quiet and cosy evening. The next Sunday evening we came back with my friend Andrew's family and this time we had a birthday celebration in the next table. It was warm and lively. Didn't expect such a place in this old area."

"Minuses 1. The chairs had no backs, it was impossible to put outerwear 2. It was a birthday and the bar should have reserved a table at a better place, and not near the bar 3. The music was very very loud Advantages 1. We only eat pizza it was very tasty 2. The bartender kindly selected two types of cocktails for me, I was pleased Question for the establishment Why are you asking for a reason to book a table if you still don’t do anything for this reason? I won't come to the bar anymore because of this."

"Shocking service if you're sitting in the bar area. Our plates were left on our table for 50 minutes before being taken away. One meal and one pudding wasn't available. The pudding took 50 minutes to arrive after I chased the staff twice, only to be told then that one of the puddings wasn't available. The member of staff informed me that there was only one dessert person on duty and didn't even bother to go the kitchen to chase our order. Surely staff shortage isn't a concern of any customer?? I emailed and complained and no one has bothered to respond. Very disappointed with Hunloke not value for money and overrated."

"February 2023: Decided to go there on valentine's day. This was also our first visit to Sticks'n'Sushi. The staff is amazing. From the lady who greeted us at the entrance to the waiter who served us and others, everyone was courteous and decent. The ambience was subtle and the dining chair table were elegant. The food Vegetarian): There are some decent options here for vegetarians. We ordered Mama Mia, Beetroot tartare, Chili rice, Green gate salad and Sweet potato on stick. Every dish was absolutely delicious. The taste was just perfect. For drinks we had homemade lemonade and Sendai sunset. Both were just amazing! Really enjoyed the food and experience. Would definitely visit again."

"The first thing you'll see when entering this restaurant is the number of Japanese people eating here. We were the only westerners there! I loved it : The food is like the one I've eaten in Japan. Certain, it is not a cheap place, but I can vouch for them on authenticity (been many times to Japan . Service is ok, there is one girl that's a bit grumpy, but after you come a couple of times she is less. I would recommend to take one of the sets. The fish freshness and quality is outstanding, presentation of the dishes as well, very neat. I come here regularly, worth the trip! They have a private area/room downstairs which you can book and reserve. If you're on a budget, come at lunch time, the sets are very good price-quality. one only negative thing: sometimes the floor is sticky because of the product they use. Ah, and I was expecting a full Japanese toilet, shame they don't have it (they have normal one, of course ! Reserve ahead if you go on a weekend or Friday night."

"incredibly delicious! we love Oishi-Q! definitiw a place to go back list. we had the fried squid and agedashi tofu for starter - both were very tasty and freshly cooked. for the net we had chicken kaarage with Oishi sauce (Japanese mayo and Tokonatsu sauce) as well as chicken katsu curry. both were served with a lot of huh and I thought the karaage was extremely good fried! to improve, we would have liked to see more soss for the katsu curry when the rice drinks them all up and would like to have a few more nice. Otherwise, one must visit and I will try to spit the yakitori next time as she saw very appealing."

"Booked a table of 5 for my birthday dinner. We were promptly seated then immediately asked for drinks orders before even being offered a drinks menu or water. After we had ordered drinks we were being rushed into ordering some food, every two minutes different waiters coming and asking if we are ready to order (at least 7 times). After we did order and the food was brought out, we were then just forgotten about and nobody came over anymore to check if we needed any more drinks (4 out of 5 glasses were empty) or if the food was ok. (It was- but no one checked). After we had finished dining, we still had empty glasses and had to wait 20+ minutes until we eventually stopped a waiter walking past and asked if we could order more drinks. The drinks then took another 15 minutes to come. It was also very disappointing that although we had mentioned on the booking itself that it was for my birthday, there was no acknowledgement of this (I have been before and had received a plate with ‘happy birthday’ written on it in some kind of sauce with a sparkler). My sister even went to ask the woman working on the front desk and received a standoffish attitude back saying no. When the £235 bill came, it even listed ‘birthday plate £0.00’ on it!!! That really let the evening down. The interactions with the staff themselves were great, they were very polite and personable but the actual level of service of being rushed to order and then totally forgotten about really dampened what could have been a fantastic evening."

"I thought the food was excellent and the portions are generous. Try the smoked chicken or the yakitori skewers as a starter, or the katsu curry as a main really nice and really enjoyable. I cannot comment on the quality of the desserts as I couldn't handle that as well. The only quirk was that the place seemed to have an odd jazz cd on. Didn't seem to fit with the general aesthetic."
"Myself and my partner had never been to the joiners arms before so booked to come for a date night meal, When we arrived the staff were very welcoming and quickly got us to our table There was an amazing variety of cocktails to choose from and they ensured every cocktail was extra special Myself and my partner had a Camembert sharer for starter and this was very well presented and the taste was amazing, this was my partner’s favourite For the main we both had the mini burgers , they all had amazing taste and was well worth the order, We both really enjoyed visiting here would definitely recommend it for anyone who is thinking of making a visit, you will not be disappointed"

"Finally we got to try this place! The small restaurant reminded me of the ones we went to in Osaka. Small, intimate, not pretentious, all about the food and great service. We came here for my birthday and I wanted to sit by the bar and watch the action in the kitchen. We both had sake and it was a good selection to compliment the small dishes that came out as and when ready. Aubergine miso just melted in your mouth chicken spring onion, chicken thigh, chicken skins, pork belly all were cooked to perfection and the crispy chicken skins were so moreish. specials were king prawns and they were big and tasty. cauliflower punchy and delicious tofu teriyaki crispy and chunky and great flavour kimchi rice give me some more! white chocolate yuzu green tea finger light and not too sweet We really enjoyed the food and will definitely come back. I spoke to other diners who had been numerous times before and they were singing praises how good it is. There are so many small plates establishments, and this is definitely up there with Palmito. I can’t wait to go back!"

"Definitely highly recommend @Junsei! Wonderful experience with carefully grilled skewers. We ordered #Omakase with 6 YAKITORI 2 KUSHIYAKI 3 course dishes. We added six more skewers and all of them are quite good. The dessert impressed me most. Brown sugar ice cream with grilled grapes and cruchy rice. To be honest, this is Best Dessert I had ever. Ice cream is not sweat or creamy thick, instead, it taste like silk brown sugar tea with crunch salted rice and sweat grilled grape, not only diversed in favor, but also in texture and temperature. For skewers, I like Sasami(Tender Loin w/ wasabi) most. The soft and creamy texture of the chicken with takoyaki sause perfectly is juicy and sweat. The Tsukune Chicken Meatball is little salty for me. The Momo(Thigh) and gazzard are also recommeded, and the minimal seasoning highlights the flavour of the chicken itself."
