"The service in this restaurant has gone down rapidly in the last 6 months. the staff cant be bothered at all. our main course came before our starters again, in the second visit in a month for us. our mistake for returning. the food was...cold and even the standard of the food is now lower than before. we had no clue who our server was and they were picking our drinks up without us having finished them and without even bothering to ask if we wanted another one. The staff look so disinterested and not bothered at all. The chap who i paid LITERALLY through the receipt on the table. they are charging high end prices but novikov, nobu and zuma are many many levels above them. Dont go here. Its finished as an option for me, i gave them another chance after the **** service last time but it has not changed."

"The last stop on our Girl’s Night Out journey and what an experience. The staff was fantastic and the facilities were well kept, the entire venue was on the ground floor, which was accessible from the street and within the Eldon Square. We booked in advance to make sure we had a table. The food is available from snacks and light bites to full meals, all with an alchemist twist. The cocktails were breathtaking, and I am now the proud owner of an alchemist hippo. It was like an old chemistry lesson with a hit. The atmosphere was great. It was a perfect end for a fantastic night."

"We had a stop over in brentford during our holiday. Had a crave for sushi and tried this place. So googled up some places and finally settled with this one. We called there and placed order. The delivery service was great tbh and so was the food. Its suprising to see how close they are to the originality of the food. The food didnt have those additions like mayo etc except for some . The sushi were great tasting and fresh. Katsu and teriyaki were equally amaging. I will definately order again if i am nearby. Great work people."

"The average tripadvisor rating does not reflect the quality of the food I tasted, which is less than average and very bad value for money. The fact that it was a delivery does not excuse some of the issues salmon avocado roll: salmon was fine tasted fresh but the rice was a very bad sushi rice, not cooked properly, overcooked for some parts and undercooked for other...the vinegar sugar mix was not balanced properly...eatable but Itsu does a better job (I am not even going to compare it to the likes of Attari ya) Prawn tempura roll: the seaweed had a rubber/chewy texture...i do not know whether it is the quality of the seaweed or just because they put 2 layers and it sucked the oil...but it spoiled the rolls Soba and tempura: fine I cannot comment on service and other aspects but the quality of the food does not justify the price... First and probably last try, it is unliked this will become a new go to sushi place..."

"Allergic to nuts. No mention of nuts on the menu. Nuts added to meals that no other sushi restaurant’s do (Wakame Salad) Very unsympathetic response form the guy on the phone when we called in to enquire about possible nuts after having eaten them unknowingly. Employee said they don’t know what nuts are included. “It just says nuts, on the packet” ————————————— In response to your response; A fair point and a responsibility that I would have taken upon myself, had the attitude of the person on the phone been less dismissive and unconcerned. From the your reply, should i assume you are the person I spoke to on the phone? I only called up because an allergic reaction had started occurring and you always have to track a reaction to its source, if possible. “I’ll sort this out and call you back” I said. “Do what you like” was the reply. Had you showed any concern, be it during the initial call, or now, we wouldn’t be talking on this review at all"

"We booked the teppanyaki for my son’s birthday as it’s something he’s always wanted to try. The chef was great fun and the food was all fresh and tasty. The scallops were tiny but tasty. It was £40 per person which is really expensive for what you actually get the portions are tiny and we were still hungry when we got home. Drinks were also expensive we had 7 bottled beers, 2 colas and a hot sake. Our bill for five of us came to £290. I don’t regret going as it was a fun experience, we all enjoyed it and the food was fresh and tasty but I couldn’t justify returning at that price for essentially a few tapas size portions of food. For £40 you get Small bowl miso soup One scallop Two tiger prawns A table spoon size portion of teriyaki chicken A piece of steak the size of a mars bar Few fried cabbage leaves A small cup of egg fried rice One pancake with single scoop of ice cream Coffee or tea"

"Me and my mum mostly had the small tapas dishes were were nice, nothing spectacular as far as Japanese food goes, but it wasn’t bad. Portions are tiny, the restaurant itself is also very small inside with only a few tables and mostly bar like seats, all stools rather than chairs. Services was good for the most part but very slow for certain dishes, particularly the Katsu dishes which took almost an hour. Anything other than that arrived pretty quickly though, so am not sure why. No sushi, no free selection of sashimi, very limited menu. Overall average at best, certainly not in my recommendations for Japanese or Asian restaurants in Manchester unfortunately."

"Bad birthday experience… came here on my lunch break for a birthday treat with my boyfriend. Waitress was uninterested from the minute we entered the building and almost seemed like she didn’t want us there. We ordered 2x spicy steak ciabattas off the lunch menu when this arrived, it was served in a small Brioche bun, not a ciabatta as stated on the menu. We paid an additional £2 supplement each for this particular lunch dish however, there were maximum 3 small slices of steak per bun, completely underwhelming. We ordered a side of peppercorn sauce to have on the steak ciabatta however, as it was served on a brioche bun, it was extremely soggy and fell apart in our hands. We were not made aware of the sandwich substitution when ordering or prior to the food being served. We tried to the get attention of staff to query this however, no one was around and as we only had limited time on our lunch break, we had to just eat the soggy, steak deprived bun. When queried this with the waitress, she advised ‘yeah, we’ve ran out of ciabatta so serving this instead’…….. we explained that if they had advised us of this prior, we would’ve ordered something else. She was not interested and walked away silent. A different member of staff approached us, they apologised and were nice enough however, excused the error by stating that a different table requested the brioche bun earlier and that’s why they had substituted it. That is all very good for them however, it is not what you have advertised and selling on your menu, nor were we made aware of the change at any point prior to the food being served. We are reasonable people and aware that things like this happen. However, £40 for a extremely tragic brioche bun, we’re left still hungry and disheartened. just be aware when ordering they may serve something completely different (p.s. no discount on the bill for being misssold an item off their menu and for their clear mistake)"

"We were stuck for something to eat and we fancied something different to our usual cuisine so we opted for Japanese. Picked this place based on the Google reviews and it was between this and Wagamamas. I am still shaking my head at this place.Relatively smallish restaurant with a chef on a grill just as you walk into the place. We ordered a couple of Yakitori's, an Asparagus, Ebi Tempura, Nabe Taki Udon and Chicken Katsu Curry. I ordered the Yakitoris because they were only £1.80 and when we received them, that is all that they were worth to be honest! About 3 small bits of chicken with onion. The Asparagus was £1.80 too, but we only ordered 1 skewer. The Ebi Tempura was £9 and my god that was a rip off! Totally bland batter and far too oily! The watery sauce which accompanied it was tasteless too. For the mains, we had a Chicken Katsu Curry and Nabe Yaki Udon. The only other place I have to compare for the Chicken Katsu Curry is Wagamamas and they would win hands down over this dish! The real disappointment was the Nabe Yaki Udon! We never expected this to be a bowl of hot water with udon noodles, broccoli, egg floating on some green stuff, chicken and a piece of ebi tempura that was just soaked in water! I was thoroughly disgusted with this dish that we left it. At no point did any of the staff check to see if we were happy and to make matters worse, we were charged for service which was nonsense! This place has a lot to learn in terms of ensuring diners leave satisfied especially as we are not the type to kick up a stink while dining out. Maybe we were unlucky with what we chose, but I highly doubt it!"

"Wow! Every time I come here, I am impressed by the consistent excellent service and generous portions! The atmosphere is unbeatable and the decor is lovely. I can't imagine spending a Friday night anywhere else after a long week at work. What a hidden gem in Holmfirth! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great drink in a beautiful setting. Well done, Stagnate!"

"If you don’t want to wait outside in the chilling wind with an empty stomach and with no one attend to you, then avoid this restaurant. After dining at this restaurant today, I can say that all the negative reviews are true. The food is average yet extremely overpriced (you can definitely get much better food at this price). Can you imagine a main dish without rice? Well, here they charge a small bowl of rice for 4 pounds! Service is surprisingly horrible. My friends and I asked them if there were any table available and the woman at the reception told us to just wait 10 minutes outside and would offer us a table as soon as there was one empty. We agreed and sat outside. 10 minutes later, she came out and told us that we did not have a reservation and they would accommodate other guests first. We thought that’s fine, so agreed to dine outside. Then the male waiter got our order wrong, and we sat at the table outside with chilly night wind for another 20 minutes before we were greeted with only one main dish and two side dishes. We ordered 4 main chicken teriyaki, yet only one was served, and without rice! Even though we did order sushi rice! When we realized things were not quite right, it had already been 40 minutes! We had to went inside and complained to the chef, but he was irresponsive. We complained to the waiter, they just kept saying they were sorry (they should feel sorry) without doing anything practical to get our meal ready. It is literally the most ridiculous meal I have ever had in London. My friends and I had to eat a whole pack of Oreo because we were starving and frozen. We should have just walked away, after all no staff cared about and attended to us. Finally, after one hour waiting, we were finally able to sit inside and served with food. But how can we happily eat our food with everything that’s happened? It was supposed to be a happy night out and gathering but it was ruined. They kept saying sorry, but it is pointless. The chef gave us 10% discount in the end as an apology, but it can hardly compensate for our loss. The restaurant is poorly managed and organized. Would never visit there again."

"Absolutely incredible evening at the Broughton on Sunday. We were a large party of adults with small children and we were so well looked after. The staff were attentive, quick and super friendly. The food was delicious at every course, and considering we were a party of 25, everything came out in quick succession and was hot!!! Kids and adults, we all had a great time. Thank you for looking after us so fantastically and whilst also running an incredibly busy restaurant full of lots of other diners to look after! 10/10 in every aspect!!!"

"We decided to dine at wagamama after attending a show with friends. One of our friends had never been to wagamama before, so I assured her she would love it. However, I had to apologize later on. We arrived at 4:45, which was a busy time for staff breaks and evening shift preparation. Our server, Angel, took our order but then seemed to disappear. The first issue arose with the wine – the bottle we ordered arrived opened and missing some wine. When we requested a new bottle, we were told they only had opened bottles with no corks. Eventually, a full bottle was brought to us. We also had to ask multiple times for glasses of tap water, even though the order had been sent to the bar. The edamame beans were disappointing compared to our previous experiences at other wagamama locations. The Ebi Katsu and chili squid were good, but the overall service was lacking. Our server seemed inexperienced and we felt forgotten during our meal. The white chocolate and ginger cheesecake, normally a favorite of mine, was served frozen solid. Overall, our experience at the Hammersmith wagamama was disappointing and did not live up to the standards we expect from the chain. I hope that the management will address these issues and bring the branch up to the level of other wagamama locations. I would recommend trying a different branch and not the one in Hammersmith."

"Could be better, the ramen was nice enough but not very hot when it arrived and the portion of noodles was very small. For £20 I'd want a lot more, I will say the pork was really nice, just let down by the temperature and stingy noodles. The sushi was nice enough, maybe a bit sweet for my liking. I got the desert sushi which was interesting but I did enjoy it but would be hesitant to recommend as it's quite an unusual pairing. Service was good and the food came out very quickly so no faults there. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

"We visited on Friday night after managing to secure a last minute booking and we absolutely loved it! We have been to Japan and we found the restaurant to be extremely authentic in terms of its food and presentation. It was so busy and had a great buzz about it! We ordered a selection of dishes but the stand-out for me was the aubergine with sweet miso (absolutely delicious) and my husband really loved the chicken yakitori. Service a little slow to start (took a while to take our food order and get our wine) but it was busy and we couldn't complain. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic experience with delicious food. Bill (including a £25 bottle of wine) came to just under £70 without tip for the two of us which we thought was exceptional value for the quality.."
"This restaurant offers great value for money. I frequently visit Wasabi and both my partner and I always enjoy the freshness of the sushi. The service is consistently quick, and getting a dish plus 3 sushi plates for £10.95 is a fantastic deal. Wasabi is the ideal spot for those seeking authentic Asian cuisine at an affordable price."

"Terrible experience. I first visited this restaurant in July and the food and service were amazing. However, on a recent visit for a friend's birthday, everything was terrible. I gave them another chance today with a group of 7, but it was equally as bad. The place was empty so they can't blame it on being busy. The waiter said he would give us some time to decide on our food, but never returned. We had to wave someone down 20 minutes later. The popcorn chicken was dry and they charged extra for a watery katsu sauce without informing us. The chorizo was overpriced at £6.50 for only 6 pieces that were lukewarm and chewy. Our friend's fish sandwich came with peas even though she asked for them to be left off. They did replace it, but never brought the promised extra portion of chips. Overall, the experience was mediocre and not worth the high prices. I won't be giving them another chance."

"I was craving Japanese food all day today, so I decided to ring up the restaurant to see if they were taking orders to collect as I live too far for delivery... The lady who I spoke too was so helpful! I’d ordered the Classic Salmon Box (although I was torn between this and the Salmon Cheese rolls, I was pleasantly surprised when the lady had adapted the box to fit in some of those too on the house! , Lolly Spicy Chicken Wings, Chicken Yakitori, Chive Shrimp Gyozas (my favourite! , Miso Soup (as I’d never tried before, however it’s too much of a sophisticated taste for me , Seafood ramen and a few bubble teas along with grape juice and a pear juice (which was recommend by the lady I spoke too and it went down a treat! The amount of food I had ordered was shared between three people, including myself, and all three of us really enjoyed the selection of high quality, yummy items. The food is worth every penny, if not more! Also the service I'd received today was great! Nothing was too much of a fuss for the lady who took my order, even with me being uncertain on some items to order the lady gave great suggestions and even explained parts of the menu to me and where I could find certain things online, which made me ordering so much easier. I will definitely be returning to Isushi Wolverhampton, as I think I’ve just found my favourite Japanese Cuisine in the local area and even out of all the ones in Birmingham too!"

"Strange mini chain this with branches In Kensington High Street, Chiswick, Ealing, Bloomsbury and this one in the Upper Richmond Road, Putney. This is a large open plan barn of a place serving with a few exceptions the same range of pan-Asian food as its other locations majoring on sushi but also running g the whole gamut of noodle, rice and ramen staples. Chicken kari-age, Japanese style-nuggets with salad made for a solid starter whilst three panko covered prawns were exceptional. Mains of salmon and rice, chicken ramen and Malaysian style laksa soup were our choice of mains although Chinese style duck rice would have done just as well. Only downside was the building felt slightly tatty, the tables might have been better cleaned and the menus overused."
"I attended an evening of fun food and laughter here on 12 Nov organised by the Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent, Mrs Lilian Dodd and her marvelous band of helpers as a fund raiser for the Lord Mayors charities. It was my first time ever in a Japanese restaurant in the UK and it won 't be the last, I understand it 's the only one in Stoke-on-Trent, and boy are we fortunate, we enjoyed a wonderful array of starters and main courses I myself enjoyed everything served up, eager to taste and try every different delecacy cooked and served to perfection and it was delicious. My main course of teriyaki pork was magnificent, tasty, tender, and served with an amazing variety of accompaniments, check out my pics , my thanks go to the owner and head chef Ray and all his friendly accommodating staff for producing and serving up such a banquet for so many of us without any problems. In such a small intimate restaurant I was delighted to find they have a full size fitted disabled toilet baby changing room and portable request ramp to help with wheelchair pushchair to help access over the one step entrance should you you need it. Thank you all at the Miso"
