"Could be better, the ramen was nice enough but not very hot when it arrived and the portion of noodles was very small. For £20 I'd want a lot more, I will say the pork was really nice, just let down by the temperature and stingy noodles. The sushi was nice enough, maybe a bit sweet for my liking. I got the desert sushi which was interesting but I did enjoy it but would be hesitant to recommend as it's quite an unusual pairing. Service was good and the food came out very quickly so no faults there. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

The selection of options is clearly marked. Given the limited choices in the city, this is likely the safest bet. Additionally, it's a BYOB establishment.

If you're looking to eat out in Kirkcaldy, this is definitely the place to visit! The service was exceptional, and I had a wonderful dinner experience. The price per person is around £20–30. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5 out of 5! View menu

First time here...has an Edinburgh feel to it. Food amazing, staff friendly and place spotless. Hard to believe such a place is situated on Kirkcaldy High Street....and loved the sneaky preview of the future plans. Well done first class!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This restaurant is a hidden treasure on an otherwise dreary high street. The dishes are fantastic, especially the curry soup. I hope that more quality eateries will set up shop in the increasing number of vacant spaces to revitalize the area. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dish: Curry Soup.

The atmosphere was calm and very welcoming. The food was clearly prepared with care and passion. Will definitely be ordering the tempura prawn starter again next time. The chicken katsu curry was fantastic and the selection of sushi (Hosomaki in tempura)that we were presented with was also well worth the visit. I came here on a recommendation, and now I have to wonder if I can trust my friend... : London prices for mediocre food.. all this place has goin for it is the interior decor. The gyoza was... crunchy.. like.. impossible to eat with chopsticks, cornish pasty crunchy.. I've never had gyoza like that before...and never want to again... And the chicken katsu curry's rice was tepid.. the restaurant was empty so I can't explain it... Disappointing.. The two stars rather than 1) are for the interior decor/atmosphere. I visited Koku-shi for the first time at its new location. We ordered a few appetizers along with some sushi rolls and requested that everything be served together, which the chef kindly accommodated. The food was delicious; I especially loved the yakitori chicken and the salmon avocado sushi. Elliot, our waiter, was very sweet and polite. Unfortunately, we didn't know it was a BYOB restaurant, so we weren't prepared. I did try the bubble tea, but it was a bit disappointing as it lacked flavor and bubbles. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning.
