"Brilliant service, don't know who it was but apparently she has only been there a few weeks. Why was she so good? She knew what was what on the menu, polite, humourous and very attentive. As well as the staff roles the food was delicious with monkfish catch if the day and pear in filo pastry desert a must!! I'll definitely go here again, and not just for the staff!!"

they always enjoy the lunch here. reasonable price. personal friendly. toilets could do with an update, and it is always a bit cool. Eating is always deliciously well presented.

the waitress and the cook were extremely helpful. the chef actually came out and talked me through the vegan meal he could do to me. if I had booked, further options could be provided.

This is an authentic traditional pub with a wide selection of real ales always available. They offer bar snacks and have a fantastic atmosphere. The gentlemen's restroom could be improved.

our second visit to the water we were not disappointed, eating is excellent, the staff is friendly and helpful cooking best is it a small menu, but the quality is excellent, we were friends for lunch and they were most impressed

Excellent value lunch menu. Great food that tasted fresh and light. Great service with the courses served at a leisurely pace so we could enjoy our meal. We did not have a dessert, but the espresso was also excellent and a fitting end to a lovely meal

Visited for the first time last night and was more than impressed. The waiting staff were lovely and friendly, the food was to die for and the chef went above and beyond to suit dietary requirements. Will definitely be back, would give 10 stars if I could.

Had an excellent mid week meal at this excellent restaurant. A fantastic pasta parcel stuffed with chicken for starter followed by meltingly tender braised ox cheek with a medley of extra vegetables. Outstanding cooking and presentation. Had a good chat with the chef proprietor as well. Outstanding quality and value highly recommended.
