Visited Il Gelso earlier this week after visiting the picturesque Montalbano Elicona. The scenery from the agriturismo is amazing, the food delicious and the service second to none.

After a road trip ranging from Corsica to Sardinia and eventually Sicily, we landed in this small B&B. One room only, delicious hosts, great quality of food. This is just 100% authentic Sicily (I'm from Sicily myself). Couldn't recommend it more.

beautiful place with family management, simple and authentic. great food and very friendly service, equally excellent prices. products (meat and vegetables) make them on site, so the kitchen is healthy and genuine. Just the kind of places I prefer, a piece of paradise in the magnificent interior of Sicily

We were a party of 13 and had heard that this Agriturismo restaurant would give us a great experience of the local cuisine and it certainly lived up to its reputation. We were surprised by the massive portions and the prima pasta dish was huge, so ensure you have a good appetite when you arrive! The starter (prima pasta) consisted of a very large platter for each person with cuts of local meats, including salami, prosciutto, and local cheeses. The was followed by pasta dishes of tortelli and spaghetti with a pork sauce.
