We stayed in a villa a few minutes walk from this restaurant and ate there twice. Once on a Sunday evening, where the menu was a set platter of meat cheeses and antipasti followed by a choice of desserts. Then we ate again later in the week and experienced a full menu of meat pasta and risotto. Plenty of choice well cooked. The waiter was charming and there are stunning views of the appenine hills. This evening we dined again at Serra Dei Gatti. It may be cold outside but the restaurant was nicely presented, warm and the staff were very welcoming. We enjoyed pasta with cheese and walnuts for starter followed by chingale with polenta for main course. Deserts were trifle and local mixed deserts of the region. Accompanied with a bottle of chianti, cafe and water €65.00. I think is excellent value considering the quality of food and cooking. The restaurant was very busy with only 1 table empty, so best to book as word is spreading that Serra Dei Gatti is a lovely place to dine!

The restaurant and available accommodation ire part of an Agriturismo that has been recently developed and opened. I booked a table with two friends from the UK, both of whom know good Italian food. We started with prima piatti, onto the secondi and then the house deserts. The menu gave a wide choice of food, antipasta, etc. I had Gnocchi d 'ortica salsiccia e nocciole ; a Gnocci colored blue/green by spinich with sausage, and hazelnuts. The main course I chose Millefoglie di cervo in salsa di senape a venison made into small mincemeat 'burgers ', this was encased by a puff pastry surround, and a great sauce. I've been to this place for an 18th! the busy and narrow road if you come from vergato, considering that I went there with a bush 9 places (if by chance I met another car once arrived at the local there a large parking lot, the really beautiful location very well looked after! the local divided into several floors this allows a greater privacy for events as a birthday. our floor was the one above with a beautiful room that in the background has a giant glass for the view (unfortunately I couldn't admire because it was already dark). regarding the very good menu we tried various dishes all delicious! sin for the service because I didn't really like an episode that happened to me with a waiter...
