"We stayed only one night at Villa Mocenigo, a rustic farm house in late Nov 2016. We wished we could have stayed longer. We were on a stopover before going into Venice. The villa is under new management and was just refreshed . The rooms are beautiful with classical furniture and deco. The bathroom looks newly renovated and is bright and clean. Francesco and Maria were friendly wonderful hosts. They provided information on Venice and the surrounding areas. Marie even shows us how she make pasta for their restaurant which is on the site. We opted for half board with dinner (additional 20 euro) and was surprised at the amount and quality of food provided. Most of the meats for the dinner came from the farm. Francesco tells me that he also caters for small weddings and other events where the guests can stay in the villa or chalet style rooms in another block. The location is good if you plan to visit Venice but not stay in Venice. The villa is only a 40 min bus ride to Venice. The bus stop is just a 15 min walk along the main road outside the villa. Good for day trips into Venice. We drove and Francesco allowed us to park our car in his compound saving us lots in parking fees. Parking in Venice is exorbitant. We took the bus and it was an easy ride into Venice. We returned 2 days later and the car was secure and safe. Great stay in a wonderful place. If you are driving around Venice and need a place to stay, try Villa Mocenigo in the town of Mirano."

It's nice, after a day of touring to come to the villa for some very fine home cooked meals. There is plenty of food and varied over the nights we were guests of the villa.

together with my partner we stayed at lunch in this farm we had heard about bad friends. What to say we found everything as we were described: courtesy of the staff and really good food. The location is not bad especially because you can see many animals. It's a farm. Congratulations to all and we'll definitely be back. View menu

"The experience in this place was absolutely terrible for me. I can't judge food that I haven't tested and the way things turned out, I will never test. I rather judge the policy and the attitude towards the customer. We are a table of 12 people where everyone ordered except me who didn't want to consume anything for my personal reasons. I was told by the waitress with glasses, long hair and bright red lipstick that there is an obligation to consume. I had to order... I believe that faced with a situation like this (table of 12 people, not two and not three) common sense should have the upper hand and therefore allow one of the people who cannot/wants to consume, to still be able to stay seated at the table. in response to your 04/03/2024 Dear Mrs, the tone of his response speaks for itself. The orders were different aperitifs including spritz and Americano, soft drink, non-alcoholic cocktails I think 2 then 2 trays of cicchetti, meatballs... my coffee which I partially drank. In total however 8 adults and 4 children. I don't think that's the point anyway. Instead, I believe that offending me by calling me ignorant (no matter how many shades of meaning the word may have) is not productive either for you or for the general impression it will give of your place. My opinion remains what I have precisely described: if a person cannot/wants for any reason that they are not aware of, consuming something at that given moment, in my opinion the case should be evaluated with common sense. I'm offended if you think so, but I think it's not a good constructive example of how to manage a critical issue."
