"If you what is a fricco , go there . If you don 'y go there ! Here you find cloud-like big bullet , which seems to be ready to fly ! But you can keep it on the plate with this typical dark polenta with the strong structure of stone milling. The house wines come in unlabelled bottles and make the impression , you 're visiting your grandma in the countryside even more. No chiceria on anything, you sit on Baita-like little chairs."

We ended up here the first night in Friuli, it was a great start of our holiday! A trattoria of other times on a familiar condition! Great wine of the house, a Cabernet, and fabulous deer to blueberries!!! !

Rustic trattoria, run by women only, with a lot of flavor. We love it. Great service performed by a solo lady, very fast and efficient. The food is great frico , soup , fresh cuts, polenta and apple pie). Wine is good. The cost is more than reasonable. Can’t ask for more! Good job ladies!

"I recently had a lengthy, leisurely lunch at Le Cucagne Agriturismo, located in the hills of Faedis. The restaurant isn't easy to find and you must traverse a small stretch of dirt road before arriving. From the exterior, Le Cucagne looks to be a farm house nestled among the local vineyards. The interior is warmly decorated with a country/rustic motif. Terracotta floors and an inviting fireplace provided atmosphere and seating was spacious and plentiful. Tables were topped with paper tablecloths and napkins and service ware (plates, utensils, glasses) was what you would expect at an agriturismo. A TripAdvisor sign was prominently posted at the entrance. Outdoor dining on a terrace is available for warm weather days. Le Cucagne features typical Friulano cuisine, all prepared in a home-cooked manner. Service is family-style in that the waitresses walk around with serving platters and plate dishes that way. Service was very friendly, accommodating and attentive. The portions were very generous and if you are up for more food, seconds were available. An endless flow of bottled Refosco red wine also topped the tables. My antipasto starter was comprised of an assorted plate of cured meats (prosciutto, salami, pancetta), a creamy mushroom mousse, and polenta chips. This was followed by three types of dishes for the pasta course; a spinach filled crepe topped with Bechamel sauce; Risotto with Sausage and Apples and Gnocchi made with pumpkin. All were very tasty. For an entree, I had the rolled pork escallop, filled with speck (cured smoked meat) and radicchio, topped with a wine-based gravy and accompanied with a hearty portion of polenta. I found the meat to be a little overcooked and tough to chew, though it had a nice flavor. As I was a guest, I don't know how the prices were. Normally, agriturismo dining is very reasonable. If you are looking for a relaxed day in the countryside, Le Cucagne might be just the right place."
