"We had dinner with the family yesterday. The people running the restaurant are kind, simple and the service efficient. My kids ordered two pizzas which were tasty and my wife ordered a cuttlefish which was very nice. The 4 and not 5 stars is because my dish, which costed 30 euros, the grill fish mix, was very small for such price it should cost half the price. I cannot believe the kitchen realized the price charged for this volume of food. It was tasty but also different from an older picture of the same served on a silver plate posted in the Google reviews which cNnot be but the same dish. I ended up having to order an additional prosciutto with mozzarella because I was so hungry. The restaurant should realise they cannot charge 30 euros for such a small portion unless i was just the unlucky one that night. Being tired of a whole daybof travelling, i did not complain just told them ibwas hungry when ordering a second dish. Otherwise it is a nice, simple local (like a cafeteria) restaurant with what seem to be authentic local dishes"

Basic, tidy and clean environment in a trattoria restaurant away from tourist attractions. Menu with typical dishes and others with excellent raw materials (creamed cod on white polenta in particular), pleasant family service and excellent value for money. A wonderful local Venician restaurant on Guidecca very close to Zitelle vaporetto stop. Lovely friendly staff and quick service. Excellent local dishes, we had three classics Sarde in Saor then Spaghetti Scoglio, Fegato Venezia with the house red wine. Book at weekends as busy with local families. Well off the beaten track this great restaurant is certainly very popular. We managed to get a table without a reservation but by 20.00 on a Saturday night most of the outside tables were full. You need to leave the waters edge and travel up the alleyway to this but it is a clean and well presented restaurant. Staff were very pleasant but maybe a bit busy which was fine so dont take the sometimes short responses as anything personal. The pizzas were excellent and I was cursing having a late lunch as there was so much I wanted to try from the menu. If you are on this island in Venice then I highly recommend.
