Called in today to sample to lunch menu, food was amazing as usual along with first class service! Easily the best place to eat in Durham.

Fantastic place with great food. The building itself is really quirky, the waiting staff are really friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. Definitely worth a visit!

Just had one of the best meals I've had in a long time here. Best ever squid for starters followed by succulent tasty chargrilled chicken. Lovely setting and friendly staff. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My daughter has been promising to bring us for a meal for a year. It was worth the wait. Everything we had from starter to dessert was delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I’m just sorry we live so far away would definitely come again as there are other things I would like to try.

what a great meal! we had all washed the seafood guvec with fabulous Turkish pleasure gin and hibiscus tonic. the personal was absolutely fantastic, efficient, knowledgeable and so inviting. we live in newcastle, but, we will make definitiv the effort to go back, best meal we had in a long time.

wow came here to a recommendation from some people, it was not disappointed, very friendly staff and very welcome from the beginning. very extensive menu and much to choose. we ordered a few starters and two main courses from the main menu. was delicious and never felt rushed. very recommended and would be back, a nice delicious 5*

I had my birthday tee here yesterday evening with dan chapman, we both loved our meals, personal are absolutely great, very welcoming, respectful, helpful friendly, cozy atmosphere, delicious eating. what more can they ask. come to everyone, do not miss them on this beautiful place! simply amazing, best place to eat in durham by far, tick all boxes 5 stars. xx

more recommended I have booked for a party of 10 in December and must say that each of the parties was very impressed. the food was delicious, generous portion size and exceptional service by extremely friendly staff. my next booking was for a party of 16 on Friday 29 December and again everyone was thrilled with eating. bethany ensured that our party was well supervised. service was fast, eating delicious and plentiful. personal very friendly and attentive, without being in their face. nothing was a disturber for her. recommend this restaurant. the safest one will visit again.

WOW!!!!! What can I say about akarsu restaurant and grill. We have been wanting to come to eat for a long time but we don't really come into Durham very often. We had planned to come last week for my birthday but I spent my birthday unwell in bed. We came to eat today instead and ate from the lunch time special menu. Everything I tried was absolutely beautiful. Lovely fresh food, cooked from scratch. Really big, well presented portions. Friendly staff and I never felt rushed. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat and we will be back again very soon. Thank you for a lovely experience xx
