"I'd spied Al Andalus the previous evening when I'd dined at El Cordobes on the opposite corner of the crossroads. I couldn't decide which one to eat in so I decided to do both so I came back to Al Andalus next evening. Al...Andalus is smaller than its neighbour but the style, food and service is broadly similar. I had bread and alioli and garlic roasted chicken breast (which turned out to be a whole side of roast chicken with loads of garlic (accompanied by French fries) which was really lipsmackin I felt even more comfortable in here (compared with El Cordobes) because of the close attention of its Ecuadorian owner/waiter, who was the organiser and waiter to all tables he did a great job, engaging with the customers in a nice but not overpowering way. He was assisted by two ladies and a cook. I guess the main difference between Al Andalus and El Cordobes is that Al Andalus has a less formal, more family approach to service, whereas El Cordobes has a more formal, professional approach. Both equally as good in the food stakes!"

Visits 13.11.2019 Beautiful cozy Spanish restaurant with a good selection of genuine tapas. The portions are good. The food is very tasty. Quality very good and the price is right

We had a paella and sangria, which are quite good and you can feel yourself like in Spain. I didn't really like the service style, it's very Spanish slow fiesta motion. Positive is that it was friendly.

The place is quite authentic. I suppose that the host is from Spain, because beautiful Spanish girls. Paella was delicious. Actually, it s minimum for two person (it cost euro) but as exception, they mad for euro) . I advice. View menu

It's one of the best seafood paella we tasted in Germany and as well Spain. Service was good and we can sit outside as well. It seems also very pleasant tapas bar even though we haven't tasted them. Do not miss it if you are...in Cologne next time!

The tables have an intimate setting, and the decor transports you to Spain. The staff served with a friendly disposition and did not rush us. I ordered a salad which was so big that I couldn't finish it much to the waiter's amusement! Overall, very...enjoyable.

Very busy restaurant and we went there because we were told that their paella is very good. However, we were told that we would have to wait hours for this which obviously was not possible. The tapas menu is quite limited and does not...include many staples that one would expect to find. Place has a lively and warm atmosphere and service was good. View menu

I am Spanish and sometimes I get homesick and I search for Spanish restaurants to feel like I am at home. So far I haven't been so lucky because the food hasn't been authentic Spanish food. However it is not the case of this restaurant....Finally I could feel that I was In Spain, concretely in Andalucia! The service was a bit slow because there was only one waitress but the rest was perfect. Very cozy place

Twice in one week, because I was very impressed with everything in this little gem of a restaurant. A few folks, sharing tapas, drinking wine or beer. We had garbanzo con chorizo, very rich and nicely spiced, bacon-wrapped dates, albóndigas, and patatas bravas (these ones...are not as hot spicy as you can find them in Spain, so I am assuming that if you want them very hot, you may request so). Beer selection is good, they have at least two Spanish beers (Mahon and Estrella). Very good wine selection by the bottle, alas only one by the glass. The atmosphere is great and the personnel is very attentive, funny and prompt.
