"My favourite Italian restaurant in London, in the past I have eaten here two days in a row. From the minute I walk into the restaurant, whether with my friends, family or for a business meeting, I know we will have an incredible time. The front-of-house team are always so welcoming. Chef Marco, and his team in the kitchen have nailed the most perfect menu. I often have special requests, as I have friends that are vegetarian, gluten-free and vegan, Chef is always very accommodating and always makes sure my guest are well fed. Some of my favourite dishes are; Tartare di Tonno Melanzane alla Parmigiana Calamari Fritti Vitello alla Milanese Branzino al Sale Clara and Stefano make sure the restaurant is always running like clockwork. The staff have the most fantastic eye for detail—this level of service I have only ever experienced in Dubai and Hong Kong. A very special mention to Sarah and Solange, who always looks after my table."

Pros: The crème brûlée French toast is delicious. Cons: The staff need to improve their speed and energize the atmosphere. Critique: The management seems unprofessional.

our group booking was automatically cancelled without notification because we hadn’t “added a credit card” or “paid deposit” but this was not communicated beforehand. ruined the evening as we had booked for a celebration. very unprofessional!

The salted cod is amazing. The staff attentive and hard working as many tables were sat at the same time and they were kept busy for hours straight. We didn’t order anything that wasn’t enjoyed by all 6 at the table. Will definitely be back as we especially appreciate the fact that this is one of the quieter restaurants in town.

The restaurant is always only half full and never seems to attract a large crowd. The atmosphere is lovely and the service is great, but the menu, which features a mix of traditional Italian dishes, modern cuisine, and small portions, doesn't seem to appeal to many customers. The neighboring traditional Italian restaurants, on the other hand, are always busy and full every evening.

Service was terrible , no one to greet at reception, 20 minutes to order at which point I said how poor the service was , which gave the opportunity to try harder, took 40 minutes to get the check , and then they wanted to charge £43 for service , sorry NO charge when the service was so poor , the young lady needs to do more than just smile Food was as good as normal , as the food is excellent, however the service sucks

The menu at this restaurant is uninspired and lacks originality, similar to what you would find at other establishments. The service is also lacking, making it only suitable for a quick meal when staying at the hotel or nearby and in need of a table, as they are often not fully booked. Al Mare never seems to have any trouble accommodating walk-ins, which may be due to the lack of customers. The issues may stem from their employees as well, making for a disappointing dining experience.

came off a disorganised shambles on first visit our opentable reservation had been messed around and assigned the wrong table for the wrong group size so we left as they couldnt accommodate and came back a couple nights later without reservations prices are extortionate even for knightsbridge and the waiter tried to sell me the days special what was a £55 small bowl of white tagliolini which I could make myself at home but when I questioned the price he stuck his nose up and had the nerve to add a higher than standard service charge when the service wasn’t worth paying note: he said the truffle garnish is measured by the gram but its not a generous portion or what you expect to for the price...
