"On our 1000km Giro d'Italia cycle ride, en route between Terni and Perugia, we were looking for somewhere for a simple lunch? Here, at Al Palazzaccio da Piero, we discovered that Italian's don't do simple lunches. We were given the warmest welcome by the three sisters, that told us they'd been there for 50 years, and swore by the provenance of the food that they served. So much so, they gave me a tour of their vegetable garden, and the best tomatoes that I have ever tasted! With such fabulous ingredients, the food that was served was beyond compare. Bravo!"

Good traditional restaurant serving freshly made local dishes and with a good selection of wines. It can get very busy on weekends, best enjoyed on weekdays and sitting outside under the pergola.

I've been here three or four times now and it's always good. Tonight was really busy with a huge table who ordered just before us, but the service and food were impeccable. There's a nice atmosphere too. Friendly and not too formal. Thank you

as written the trattoria is very nice and cozy years good food, friendly staff and prepared prices in the medium in the economic nor stratospheric, sure to return ... if I have to find a pecca .... but it is only my thought, do the most abundant dishes from trattoria. for the rest everything great

not difficult to find. very rustic and simple exterior. indoor hall and a closed shed with curtains. tables and chairs of simple material that simpler you can not. welcome good bruschetta with a good oil. Cakes in broth for me too much chicken. Truffle pies. lamb cooked according to request. Good house wine. account in the average when there is a truffle. View menu

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent as the quality of the ingredients were fresh and unpretentious. As soon as you walk in the restaurant you feel welcome and know you’re going to have a delicious meal. The decor is inviting as well as the staff. The meal from beginning to end was delicious. Al Palazzaccio da Piero is an absolute gem!

We were told to try this restaurant our by a friend, so we did. It is run by 3 sisters, all very nice. The restaurant has a feeling like you are in your own home. Everything we tried on the menu was outstanding. But I have to mention in particular the Fettuccine with boar ragù, I don't think I can put into words how great it was. Absolutely amazing! I would recommend this place to everyone.

This is not a fancy place, but rather very comfortable and welcoming. The food is fresh, rustic and made with great care. We like it so much we ate there 3 times in a week. In fact if I lived near here we would eat there every week. Service is efficient friendly, but relaxed. Its kind of quirky that they have very little signage and unless u know exactly where it is you won't find it, but if you can you certainly should eat there. View menu

While the quality is good, its nothing special to write home about. The owner lives on past glory, appears to have more money than common sense and is milking the business for all its got. Portions are small and well overpriced. The owner is smug and arrogant. Honestly, avoid the place. There are so many other places in the area which provide all one would expect from a quality restaurant, like Chateaux du Pepe, cheaper, by far better quality, proper market price and for sure courtesy abounds. Eat here at your peril.

We visited the three sisters on our last night in Italy. After reading about them in Michael Tucker's book, LIVING IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE we knew we wanted to eat there. Our hosts were absolutely lovely--they tolerated our choppy Italian and helped us order. As fans of trying the house wine, we were not disappointed by their offerings. Our kids loved playing with the restaurant's cats, and were delighted when they found a kitten out in front. Sitting outside is a wonderful experience, provided you are not bothered by cigarette smoke. If so, sit inside.
