"We were recommended this restaurant by the owner of our Airbnb apartment, as somewhere that locals of Bellano would dine, it did not disappoint. As we arrived there was a table of around 30 Italians sitting down to a long sharing table, perhaps celebrating a birthday. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, despite the whole town not being very lively as it was the end of November. We slightly over ordered, but everything was delicious. I would recommend sharing an anti pasti and a primi course and perhaps getting a main each. The selection of sliced meats was a great starter and the pastas were delicious. Our Italian is limited so ordering off the menu was luck of the draw, but I'm sure whatever we ordered would have been good. The staff were lovely and the service was attentive even with the large party taking up a lot of the restaurant. I would love to return and try more of the pasta."

We went our first night here. It is away from the water front so tends to be missed by foreign tourists. There was a bit of a language barrier but we got by. The food was very good. My wife had rabbit and I had grilled Lake fish.

Supposedly the #1 restaurant in Bellano, I found it a little bright and unwelcoming. The main server wasn’t very attentive and certainly lacked a little charm. The food was good, the pumpkin gnocchi and veal in particular were highlights. It’s a shame that everything else was a little stark.

We entered this restaurant because of good reviews to have a cup of coffee and something to eat. Nobody was there except of a bunch of nasty old people who were playing cards. They seemed to be the stuff or owners because noone else was there. They were very unwelcoming, unfriendly and quite angry that we disturbed them. Their behavior was so despicable that we walked away.

The owners of the place where we were staying recommended this place to use. They sold it as 'not fancy ' 'local ' 'traditional Italian food ' they got it spot on. Nothing fancy, great local food, no English spoken and menus in Italian. We got creative and simply picked something off the menu having no idea what it was. Fish was delicious. Will be sure to return here next year.

This a little gem of a restaurant that we found through our Italian friend in Varenna. It is clean and unpretentious and thoroughly Italian- very minimal English spoken and the menu only in Italian. The owner Wanda is very sweet and accommodating, and she serves simple and delicious ravioli and other pastas as well as veal and lake fish (which is a bit bland no matter where you encounter it. The prices are fair and portions ample. Service is efficient and not obtrusive. When we return to Varenna (not quite annually we always visit All'Orrido once or twice.

curious and wonderful discovery, a few steps from the station. Suspended in a limbo of the '70s, it seems to have lunch with the goodness and lightness of the grandmother. why choose this restaurant because the food is good- because it is cooked as grandmother would do it- because the portions are plentiful- because the staff is friendly and friendly- because the prices are honest- because the quality ratio is good- because it is firm in the '70s when you should not choose if you look for a cool place, where you care more about the furniture of an impeccable service- if you look for light food. butter is not an ingredient for lagnosis peaks - if you want to stay lake view, here we are 3 minu...

"How disappointing. We went there as we saw the great reviews and that they had vegan vegetarian options BUT apart from the beautiful view there wasn’t much to be desired. The eggplant in the grilled vegetable was completely undercooked hard. The caprese was very average and if you compare the photos from a past review that I have attached, you’ll see it’s clear we got some half arsed effort tonight. Our vegan caprese lacked detail that it once had no heart shape cheese and only one little fresh basil which is SO necessary for flavour. Compare the photos from the review and tonight, where there used to be basil throughout the dish. Our Seitan dish was half the size of the photo in a previous review AND was barely edible VERY over cooked, difficult to cut with a knife. What’s more the ratatouille it came with was cold. It was very underwhelming. We also had a pasta dish which was also cold and lacked flavour. Oh, and my wine came with an insect. My only regret is I waited until the bill to give feedback. I should’ve sent it all back to the chef. There was one nice waitress but overall the whole place lacked personality and didn’t feel welcoming at all. We’ve eaten at a LOT of places and call ourselves “foodies” I rarely leave a negative review, so to write this says exactly how disappointing the experience was. To top it off it was the our most expensive meal in Lake Como for us 4x the lunch we had earlier in the day that was so authentic, served warm, and delicious and satisfying which makes it even worse. I’m always happy spend the extra s on a great meal, but sadly this was NOT!!!"
