Alexandra - Menu

we were here for some drinks, the personal was really friendly and efficient, good value for money and a visit worth.

Had two evening meals at the Alexandra, we pre-booked and everything was set up safely. Menu choice was good and food was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.

okay food and service at a reasonable price. No real complaints but expected a more pleasant restaurant from the photos on the web site. Turned out we were seated in the bar.

we onky wanted to have a drink, but we looked at the menu and ordered to eat. I had delicious steak pee with maic, heaped and carrots, my partner had sampi he enjoyed. very reasonable prices, we will be back when close.

We popped in for an evening meal and a few drinks. Excellent relaxed atmosphere. Great service and friendly welcome from Fiona. She was even kind enough to offer a brolly for us to get back to our accommodation as it was heavy rain. Thanks again....G&S Beveridge Musselburgh

have been sitting here a few times at my juli visit in ballater. outside in the beer garden did not see the best from the environment, but they were both beautiful and warm sunny days, so I didn't want to sit inside. had a few really. nice pints nessie’s monster mash (a malty kastanienbier) and cairngorm ipa. also a very beautiful bowl of broccoli and cheese soup. I've read a few pleasant hours there my book.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights. It's a great place to stay, right in the centre of Ballater. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Although the restaurant wasn't open, we ate in the bar and...the food was excellent. Breakfast was substantial and with an excellent choice. I would definitely return and recommend it to other travellers. It's good to see a family run business doing well.

the bed the alexandra on a Saturday around most of the tables were already reserved. fortunate there was a free table available. we had drinks and a main course. the food was excellent. I had the steak bee, all good meat without fat or gristle. my brother in law had the fish and chips, also excellent. our partners both had the sampi that was also delicious. the staff was friendly and efficient. I would definitely book in advance at weekends and during the holiday season.

Myself and a group of friends spent the night here and enjoyed our stay. When we entered we were greated warmly and shown to our rooms. She took time to check if we'd made arrangements for eating that night and advised us of breakfast arrangements....The room and en suite bathroom were spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. After setting in we had a few drinks at the bar and again the service was pleasant and friendly Breakfast next was a selection of cereals, fruit and yoghurt followed by a full breakfast which was plentiful and very well cooked along with plenty tea and toast. Finally as we left we were offered some old towels to dry the rain off our motorcycles which was a very nice to...
