"Wir haben das Restaurant zweimal besucht, im Sommer saßen wir draußen auf dem herrlichen Schlossplatz, jetzt zum Weihnachtsessen in der gemütlichen Stube. Wir wurden immer sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich bedient, die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas, das Essen wurde recht schnell serviert, die Portionen waren mehr als ausreichend, alles schmeckte superlecker. Wir kommen sicher wieder. Das Restaurant befindet sich in einem historischen Gebäude, der Gastraum ist recht dunkel und rustikal (z.B. keine Tischdecken auf den Tischen), aber das unterstreicht nur den Charakter."

08/15-Küche. Es muss schon einen Grund haben, warum im Sommer mittags nebenan "Zum Bären" voll ist, aber in der Alten Zollwache nur wenige Gäste sitzen.

because a company was present where it was likely: who laughs the loudest and most impossible, gets a reward increase, the stay was not exactly pleasant. otherwise we were very satisfied.

It's not too bad here, but next door (Zum Bären) is distinctly better. Nevertheless, as long as you sit outside, in the lovely atmosphere of the Schlossplatz and drink a delicious beer or apple wine, nothing can really go wrong. My main criticism is the food... although acceptable, that's the department where Zum Bären easily wins. View menu

cozy restaurant in highest with beautiful ambiente. eating is mostly good. but what a no-go is: it is served pre-scarving. we had 5 x carvings. each teller has 2 carvings. all 10 carvings were absolutely identical in size, shape and probably weight. Unfortunately not good. I make much better carving at home. for this, the carvings are too expensive there, apart from the fact that I don't want to get served in any restaurant, not at all at the price.

we were there on the ostermintag and had respected what worked great. beautiful ambiente and at sun many cyclists are here and make a stop. the service were all very friendly and you realize that they have something on it. it no longer happens so often that an operation can serve several tellers properly; eating from the tagscard was delicious and good from the amount. drinks came promptly. overall we were very satisfied and will probably go back to the atte zollwache soon.
