Friendly service from this off the beaten track pub. Very nice Brazilian food which makes a pleasant change from the normal standard pub food

Lovely little place tucked out of the way off the main high street. Nice and quiet with a friendly atmosphere. Food was good and great portions.

The tapas meal was very tasty and not too expensive. The service and the wine were also excellent. This Richmond upon Thames pub is a little tucked away and we were glad that we found it.

A brilliant find out the the Red Hat Ladies, came across this gem . Dean the barman was welcoming and polite , excellent food and atmosphere , we met some of the locals and had a fantastic time, certainly worth a visit.

Drinks were ok, ordered from the bar, we were sitting outside and my partner went inside to order 2 small dishes. They came out, my calamari was not very nice and at the end they slammed a service charge on top of 2 drinks, which we got ourselves, and two small dishes that were ordered at the bar, shameful! We came in last night for the steak special, which was good! Medium rare, well seasoned, sat next to the regulars and had a lovely pink gin and lemonade. Talked local stuff, it was great! We became locals! Tonight we had The Pie, I had the roast beef, husband had the chicken. It was delicious, eat The Pie! It’s a house special on Wednesday, and worth the walk around Richmond. Tomorrow they have live music, so we feel obligated to eat elsewhere.

Really not very good. At least try to smile and acknowledge people when they walk through the door, even if you don't mean it! Is it really that hard? Especially when the pub is more or less empty (I wonder why? I know what's happening on your mobile phones is probably more interesting than your work place, but presumably you are being paid to greet and serve customers? If not, then talk to your boss. Come on guys, this isn't rocket science a warm welcome goes a long way, believe me. Staff training and motivation urgently required.

Wow! Just found the completely revived Angel and Crown, and what a brilliant evening! An absolute gem in the heart of Richmond hidden off the high street. Fabulous food, brilliant atmosphere and a fantastic set from The Double Buffs. From their first song the place was rocking. Hats off to Hannah and her wonderful team, just the best gang that you’ll find in any pub in Richmond and all of them absolutely right on it. Lived here for 23 years and for me the best pub atmosphere I’ve seen in a local pub for a very, very long time! For sure our new local! Thanks Hannah. View menu
