Valentines Dinner real personal touch by the owners and staff, really attentive and the food was just fantastic. Was not surprised to hear they have just been awarded the AA triple rosette award. A real gem of a place in deepest darkest West Wales! Outstanding

An enjoyable first visit. The hotel exuded a quiet charm and the Restaurant was light and welcoming, with a backdrop of magical pictures to enhance our dining experience. All the staff were attentive and helpful. The menu offered interesting choices and the food was very well presented, and beautifully cooked

The service at this restaurant was fantastic, despite the fact that I found two pieces of hard plastic in my main dish. The staff were extremely apologetic and assured me that I would not have to pay for the meal. However, when I received the bill, they only took off £30. This indicates poor kitchen management. We had a Valentine's dinner at this restaurant and were impressed by the personal touch from the owners and staff. They were very attentive and the food was fantastic. The food was excellently prepared and good quality. We were served promptly with smiles and courtesy. It was a lovely touch to produce a sparkly brownie at the end as we were celebrating our golden wedding. The ambience would be improved with more diners. Maybe a little expensive for the surrounding population. We had a lovely evening at Castell Malgwyn. A big thank you to all the staff

We had a lovely evening at Castell and the Art Room restaurant. Initially we sat by the open fire surrounded by quirky artworks and shelves full of books. We sipped our aperitifs as we read the extensive wine list and enticing menu. The Art room restaurant is just that, paintings, ornate mirrors and modern art light fixtures. The sirloin was perfectly cooked, tender and deliciously full of flavour. The dessert of chocolate in many guises was to be savoured. The Macon Jadot was smooth and a great accomplishment. The food was delicious, wine was also lovely if abit pricey. The service eas top class, the girl who welcomed and served us was very friendly and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our birthday celebration, there was of us and we had a course some had courses meal with white wine and coffees after. We all agreed that it was perfect.The restaurant was warm and decorated very nicely. There was only one other couple there at the same time as us we went on a thursday night.We would highly recommend Castell Malgwyn and we will be back again when we are in Wales next year. Top marks

The food at Castell Malgwyn was delicious, and the wine selection was lovely (though a bit pricey). The service was excellent, with the welcoming and friendly girl who served us being very professional. Our birthday celebration with four people was thoroughly enjoyable, as we indulged in a three-course (some opted for two courses) meal accompanied by white wine and coffees afterwards. We all agreed that it was a perfect evening. The restaurant had a warm and nicely decorated atmosphere, with only one other couple dining at the same time (on a Thursday night). We highly recommend Castell Malgwyn and plan on returning when we visit Wales next year. Top marks. View menu
