"the younger waiting staff was friendly and accommodating. However, the older man we have assumed was the owner/manager unfriendly and actually quite rude. he totally ignored us, as we stood in front of him waiting in the cash box to check. he continued writing on his phone and refused to serve us. the younger man who was our server approached and we explained right before the older man that we stood here and waited to pay the bill. he looked a little embarrassing and the old guy still did not apologize and did not give any recognition to our annoyance. my daughter was teary eyes when we went home as she is an excellent high school French student who was respectful of the French speaking by giving most of the communication with this guy. he wasn't gracious, terrible customer service, so I would never support his business again. I'm sorry to eat there. eating is just like that."

In a town that is full of wonderful restaurants and great food, this one stands out. The food truly tastes home made and you can only get that with top notch ingredients. But other than the fantastic eating, the service and the warmth of the people working here is just delightful. You tend to feel more like a welcome guest in someone’s home than just another customer at a restaurant. A highly recommend location in Avignon.

There is no way in the world this is the 8th best restaurant in Avignon, I’d be surprised if it even got to 108. Their signature Poke bowl entree was finished, 30 mins after opening. In multiple places, the french menu mentions pâté, the English says pasta. On enquiring we were told it was penne. What turned up was linguini. The red mullet was over-cooked, with no rice as advertised but a bed of mushrooms instead. The veal was tasteless. And to cap it all, we waited at least 15 minutes for more wine after the first glass, when the waitress was far from over-whelmed. Extremely disappointing. And then my leg was coated with oil from the chair!

"I'm a regular here, and I'm not the only one lol! This place is always packed, it's both a locals haunt and a place where well-advised tourists end up. I meet my friends here, I meet my colleagues here, I meet half the town here...And it draws out the locals every evening with good reasons! So, first off: Convenience. Just on the bank of the river, this place has it's own parking.Next, atmosphere: Clean shabby chic orientated decor, open central kitchen, usually pretty crowded, Italian chef.... This place has got the atmosphere where it should be for modern tasty Italian cuisine.Service: populated by hipster and punkette style waiters and waitresses, they might not be warm nor welcoming, but they polite and competent. The service is prompt and the wine suggestions correct.Food: my FAVOURITE part! I love Italian, and I just appreciate a place that does it right so much! Simple, clean, modern and tasty!Their pizzas are beyond a doubt the best in the region, special mention for the Bianca and the Cosi. Their pasta is mouth watering. But I always find the best on their menu to be their dish of the day (for example duck filet with apricots, tuna steak with Italian sauce, roast filet mignon...) and their veal schnitzel. In fact I am a regular to this place almost solely because of their veal schnitzel. Just gorgeous!Oh and their desserts.... Are just delicious, special mention for the raspberry-lemon-white chocolate parfait!Once again, this is not a budget eat-all-you-can low end pizzeria. The prices are midrange. But the cuisine is authentic and impeccable, the setting very pleasant, and it is definitely a place you will come back to after trying it once."
