"I was brought here by a college for dinner. The building is nice. Friendly service. They had no English menu which made it a bit difficult. We had two orders of mixed tapas. The food was nice but nothing special. I have had tapas many times but this was just small portions of food in Spanish bowls. Prawns in oil and garlic, meatballs were good. Patatas bravas was not good. Chicken drumsticks were poor. Mostly food was fine but not authentic tapas. Nice atmosphere and quick service."

Truly excellent restaurant with great service! Of all the restaurants in the Köln area, this was my favorite. It has vegetarian options, which are sometimes difficult to find in Germany. The food is creative and delicious. It is obvious that attention to detail and flavor is a priority for the kitchen. The dining atmosphere is casual but elegant and the tables are nice and spread out. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

"Der erste Kontakt seit langer Zeit mit der rheinischen Kultur. Und der Einstieg hat sich gelohnt. Die Kneipe sieht von aussen eher unscheinbar aus. Das Interieur ist freundlich gehalten und die Bänke sind bequem. Der Mann vom Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und das Kölsch vom Fass hat wider Erwarten gut geschmeckt. Der Grillteller von der Tageskarte war üppig und vor allem sehr lecker! Die Pommes cremig und kross, der Gemüsereis schlotzig und die köstlichen Cevapcici waren, entgegen meiner ersten Annahme, vom an diesem Tag (21.07.23) tätigen Koch in Vertretung, hausgemacht. Kurzum: Meine kulinarischen Erwartungen wurden auf das Beste erfüllt und ich werde sicherlich wieder dort einkehren."

"Im Internet wird es als griechisches Lokal gezeigt. Es ist aber ein typisch türkischer Döner Laden. Wir haben nichts gegessen weil die Vorbestellung für außer Haus und zu lange dauerten. Ich kann das Essen daher nicht bewerten ! Aber griechisch .....wohl eher nicht."

"Erstmalig anlässlich des Hochzeitstages waren wir im Fachwerk. Der Name ist für's Ambiente Programm. Wir saßen draußen auf der Terrasse, vor dem Lokal führt eine Straße vorbei, wo Verkehr vorbeifährt, aber nicht wirklich störend. Meinen Hinweis auf den Besuchsgrund bei meiner Buchung hat man sehr aufmerksam mit einem entsprechend beschrifteten Reservierungsschild quittiert. Überhaupt war der Service äußerst aufmerksam. Beim Essen hat man die Qual der Wahl zwischen vielen kleinen Portionen, ähnlich einem Tapas-Lokal oder kompletten Speisen. Wir haben uns für die Einzelkomponenten entschieden, die allesamt sehr lecker waren. Kleines Manko war, dass nicht immer beide gleichzeitig etwas zu Essen hatten und zB das Kartoffelgratin separat serviert worden ist, was von mir eigentlich als Beilage zum Hähnchenschlegel geplant war. Bevor es zu stark abgekühlt war, begann ich davon zu essen lange bevor das Geflügel serviert wurde. Vielleicht haben wir auch nur das Konzept nicht verstanden... "

"Today we were with you. Although the menu has been selected for us, three different variants were well matched. The field salad was very fresh creamy, sweet and a perfect acid matched. Main dish Roastbeef was for me personally well tasted with natural ingredients / herbs. Panacota had great Tonca note. Your bread is great!!!! Staff is very polite, has tried. What was in the bread? It tastes delicious... Your restaurant Ambiente is very cozy"
