At Cannizaro House - Menu

Full of yummy mummies and their kids spoilt our visit. food below average. service poor. could do with a good clean.

Very pleasant birthday lunch with a friend, food was from the daily set menu and excellent. Squid and Chicken salad were very good portions and well worth the cost. Service was excellent and attentive; will happily take my wife next time!

not a very extensive menu and some things were not available (we were warned), but what was available was good. General portions, decent when a bit slower service. the best part was the location, decoration and relaxing atmosphere. we will return

The food was delicious and the staff were attentive and happy to assist with accommodating my elderly mother, who uses a wheelchair. It was a relief to be able to have a conversation without having to raise our voices. Overall, it was a lovely and enjoyable afternoon.

Even though Hotel du Vin has taken over, the lackadaisical service has not improved. However, during the pandemic, they introduced a pizza van in the back which serves delicious pizza to enjoy in the stunning grounds of Cannizzaro. It's best to stick to this option rather than dining inside the restaurant. The conservatory is a beautiful setting, but unfortunately, they still struggle to get things right here.

I hoped it would have improved but sadly no. Service diabolical, had to attract attention for everything. Drinks, wine, bread to order our food everything we had to try and attract someone. Staff seemed clueless, they did not understand our requests, Waitresses very poor English. We had to get up to pour our own wine. Ask for the bread left on the side, ask to place our food order, ask for more drinks, ask for desserts. Really spoilt our evening as constantly looking for staff and not conversing with othes. This was a special birthday for my elderly mother we went last year as it's a good place to meet for family, easy parking. Seems worse now it's Hotel du vin.

The food at this restaurant is delicious and the setting is magnificent, but unfortunately the service left much to be desired. Upon arrival, we were informed that we had booked for the wrong evening, only to later be told that it was actually a mistake on their end when we provided our confirmation email. The service staff appeared disorganized, taking drink orders from some of us but not others, mixing up food orders with other tables, and overall seemed confused. This might have been more forgivable if the restaurant was busy, but it was not. the orangery, is very nice for a relaxed lunch on a summer day, but it lacks the atmosphere or intimacy they want for an evening meal. we found that the personal friendly and efficient treated them well with diet requests thoughtful and the menu. was also well marked for this. but it was all quite transactional more than warm or engaging. eating was simple (steak, chips, grilled tomaten – in the type of a butdeen steak house), but done well enough, though probably more than it justified. my wife and I had recently drinks at the hotel cannizaro, wimbledon. they have an outer and inner area. I used one of the connecting doors that let people move freely. the superior of the orangery demanded that I should not use this...door, but instead outside, then to walk the circumference of her gardens and through the front door to foot on the foyer that was meter away from where I began to, he claims that the door was only used for the personal (if it had been just a few minutes before in my sight of other customers in use). it was certainly not obvious a personal door, but even though I was wrong and it was, it was an incredibly petty moment and his attitude was strange to despise. mos...
