This is definitely one of my new favourite restaurants. The service was amazing and the food was delicious excellent value for money (especially with the prosecco). Intimate and not too noisy like other restaurants.

We had friends staying for the weekend so booked well in advance. On arrival, we were informed that there was a private party booked so we could not be accommodated. No apology, just some mumbling about OpenTable not working. Try getting a table at 8pm anywhere on a Saturday night in Hoole! We ended up with a takeaway. Very disappointing.

We visited for a friends birthday on Saturday night and were excited as we've been before and it was fantastic. On this occasion, our drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive, we weren't served our food until we had been there for over an hour and the service was generally very poor. At the end, we asked for the bill only to find that service charge had been automatically added (the there was only 5 of us dining! . We asked the waitress why and were told that it was an accident and it wasn't compulsory; we felt that this wasn't fair as some people may have paid the service charge without realising.
