"Stopped in after purchasing pottery in the nearby shops, and we were disappointed in the poor service. Since it was a beautiful day, we sat outside, as did virtually every other patron. Not every table was occupied, but the servers couldn't seem to get to...the tables. Unfriendly, slow service. I noticed that a tour bus must have been near by, because suddenly a lot of German visitors arrived, but the service was poor even prior to their arrival. A shame, really, because the business has the potential to be a chaming restaurant. We stayed for a beer and a salad, and decided that we would eat our dinner elsewhere."

Great menu, nice service, cute place. Alsatian food. Great fish. Nice sitting areas that give space.

We stopped for dinner 18:00 hour and not too busy yet. The previous posts are accurate so only wanted to add that they do have a smaller menu in English. The many pictures posted here are worthy. We enjoyed the new wine also.

We were a party of 6 for lunch. We ate outdoors on the lovely patio, but stepped inside to appreciate the traditional decor and fantastic view of the kitchen in action. This is the best place to eat in Alsace!! All traditional food, all carefully...prepared, generous portions, and delicious! It is worth a detour. Best to make a reservation. Excellent.

Located right in the center of town next to the car park and several pottery shops, Au Boeuf has a great menu (in French and some German) with both regional and national dishes. The onion soup was delicious and the perfect starter, followed by a...well cooked cordon bleu with a side of gratin dauphinois...perfect! I was so full that I sadly had to skip dessert. I will be back!

we've eaten here before, and this time we stopped on the way to Germany for lunch. we had luck because they served delicious cream butter quash soup that we restored with a large salat. the Alsace salate (emmental cheese plus cervelas) is also very delicious here. the service was great, and it was the perfect lunch break. eating and service are always consistently good here, as are the bière pression. everything tastes!

Where should I start? as the ceramic shops of soufflenheim began to close on a rugged day, we noticed the locals from apparently everywhere arriving at a restaurant on the corner. in the hope for a light lunch we enter into a wonderland of Alsace, which is of magnificent aromen. is served by sour wort and choucroute in the large ceramic dishes. the environment and the decoration reminded us of our pennsylvania German roots. joy everywhere! the wobbly soup and quiche lorraine were divine. what more you can say.

We went to Soufflenheim for a day trip from Germany. The pottery and cookware shops are wonderful and they have something for everyone. We were able to ship from the store back to the states . So after walking the town we stopped at Au...Boeuf for lunch .The building in right in the middle of town so you can't miss it!! The decor inside is beautiful ,the ceiling is painted and old wood floors!! Menu is in French and German NO English!! The service was wonderful and the food even better!! Great wine list as well. Must stop if in town you will NOT be disappointed!!
