"We eat at the Pecheurs from time to time. We've never had a bad meal, but sometimes it can be a bit on the dull side. I must say, though, last week we had an OUTSTANDING meal. The starter was a chicken salad. The chicken...was moist and succulent, the dressing delicious and it was only with great difficulty I was able to bring myself to leave a little of the rice (I'm supposed to be on a diet, you see). The portion was huge! The main course of sausage with mustard sauce and cooked cabbage was sensational as well. The sausage was really yummy not too salty like a lot of French sausage. The pudding was out of this world. A light sponge sandwich with peaches and fresh whipped cream inside. Bye bye diet. For me it's worth tolerating some average meals to get the occasional first class one."

Simple, plentiful good value. The last good value lunch in Brittany? Was the first meal in France for a good while where I did not leave feeling like I had encountered a highwayman

This is my second visit and I'm sure it won't be the last ! The excellent home cooked food is served in convivial surroundings by the owner who makes you feel like he's known you for years! The set lunch menu is superb value so...be sure to arrive early. Au Rendez-Vous des Pecheurs is worth going out of your way to visit for sure.

Did not book but went early. Whenever we visit France we always visit as often as we can, It is a busy restaurant, open at lunch-time. Normally you are served by the patron, Nico, he is a character, very entertaining in describing each dish he...will serve. The atmosphere is typical of an informal dining experience you expect in France. The food is excellent, we have never had a poor meal, wine is included in the price so it is good value. View menu

We are here a couple of times during our stay, would have done more but no time. What a great place, you can tell it's good from the number of local people who go there to eat the place is really packed every day....The owner (Nico is really friendly and all of the service is very efficient. If you need any more bread, water wine they replenish it straight away, and no extra cost. He also told me the tip I'd left was too much refused to take it all.

Stopped here for lunch today whilst on a bike ride along Le Blavet. Clearly a very popular restaurant as it was almost full just minutes after opening on a Wednesday lunchtime. We enjoyed a superb set price menu (choice of dishes for each...course) served with a delicious local cider. The owner despite being very busy couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. In fact the speed and efficiency of service was incredible for such a busy venue (probably the best I've experienced in many years) Many restaurants could learn a thing or two from here! Don't miss it if you're in the area as it is a unique experience with some really lovely local cuisine.
