"Les Menuires isn't the easiest place to find a pleasant restaurant setting but a little off the beaten track in a shopping arcade is Au Village. The decor is mock Savoyarde but it is cosy, the staff are welcoming, the service is friendly and the food pretty good. It doesn't pretend to be anything other than a decent, middle market eatery with an interesting twist on jacket potatoes; the usual Savoyarde fayre all served in a pretty rustic manner. I had the charcuterie to start followed by a Savoyarde salad as a main course with a side order of simply stupendous chips! My son opted for the Savoyarde salad as a starter then grilled reblochon with charcuterie and boiled potatoes. Basic food, well served, reasonably priced for the Three Valleys. Search this little place out. It's atmospheric, friendly and very cosy (the tables are incredibly close together)."

We enjoyed excellent home cooked local food and very friendly service. It was a busy Sunday lunchtime with local French families dining. A great recommendation.

We have many meals here as we spend 8 weeks in Les Menuires every winter. Our friends look after us with great food. Servan and her staff are the best in the area and serve the best food

The restaurant has a good atmosphere and staff are friendly. Food was nice, we both had the pave of beef, one was cooked perfectly the other was very tough, so a bit hit or miss. French fries and sauce good.

big size of salads, very tasty, onion soup was ordinary i think, friends tested special dishes - baked potatoes - very big and delicious. Very small restaurant but very nice decorated. Need to book in advance. View menu

whilst staying in les menuires this January for a ski trip, we ate here twice, we found the food and the service to be excellent. very welcoming, and we felt good value for money. if we go back to les menuires again we shall definitely be going back here.

Small place, lack of space, toilet opening in the eating place, very poor food, french fries almost burnt and ugly looking. Over salted, duck in honey sauce like sugar sauce. No veggies at all! No real cook at the kitchen, for sure. Overpriced in general, and especially on wines. View menu

Food was ok but far from fantastic especially considering the prices. Service was real trouble and very slow. Food was also spilt on my daughter since the dishes were served from a distance (never mind that it was hot). Not a single apology from the waiter, when pressed, pointed to self- cleaning that could be done on the tiny toilet in the corner. Also did not even bother to replace the cutlery that had fallen. Careless overall. Attitude seemed to be an issue with most waiters but one of them was sympathetic and tried to help. Still it seems to be often full and popular with locals.

Live in resort every winter and summer season for last five years, have eaten in all the restaurants over time, this is the second visit the first being about three years ago, everyone deserves second chance. Never again, over priced average food, the staff rush about and stamp up and down the wooden stair's giving you the feeling of eating on the platform of a busy train station.I could mention the steak not cooked as requested the fries dark brown almost burnt the navarin of lamb or should I say lack of lamb potato and carrot stew tasteless the scallops wrapped in ham still had cocktail sticks holding them together in the pea puree soup the list is endless all for 165 euros for four covers...

"A friend hurt himself on the slopes after a ski accident so we thought we’d go for lunch to soften the blow. We have been skiing in St Martin for 20 years and have driven past the restaurant many times saying we should go. Anyway today we did. Before I comment, I have been lucky enough to go to many beautiful Michelin restaurants. We ordered the 5 dish set menu. By the time we had finished , I’m not sure how many courses we had as they just kept on coming. As regards what was served, it was utterly stunning. I have eaten at Gavroche for 25 years (which I love) and the food served was simply awesome. Oysters, sweetbread, asparagus, a fish I can’t remember. ….. everything was lovely I love eating and drinking in a restaurant with a passion for both and this place simply sang. In short, one of the best lunches I have ever had and all I can say is that it was simply excellent. . Yes it is expensive but the biggest compliment I can give this restaurant is that it is well worth it. 5 stars all the way. Service was also excellent with enthusiastic young staff delivering a service to rival London’s best. One comment. The wine list is a thing of beauty but the pricing is hit and miss. The pricing is a bit expensive but with some well priced wines. If you know what you are doing then you can have some lovely wine at a good price but I’d prefer if the pricing was reduced a little so all can enjoy what is a lovely wine list. As regards our lunch, 5 stars. It was simply stunning and the owner came to say hello at the end of the meal: an Arsenal fan we all have our issues Food with love, integrity and passion and I am a conservative judge. Simply lovely. I hope others have the same experience and well done to all involved as I’m not easily pleased."
