"We have been wanting to eat here for a while as the restaurant looks so charming and yesterday were finally able to. We picked the 20€ menu. The starters were pleasant enough but the mains were very disappointing. One of our party had the salmon steak with Camembert sauce which he said was tasty. Two of us had the lamb chops which were horribly fatty with very little edible meat. I thought I couldn't go wrong having the Plat du jour which was ham in a cider sauce. This turned out to be a rectangular piece of processed ham about 3 millimetres thin with a plastic texture. I could not eat it. The accompaniments for all of us were potato gratin and ratatouille and I can only agree with a previous reviewer that these seemed to be mass produced and reheated. Perhaps if you have one of the more expensive menus then the food is homemade but I certainly wouldn't recommend the cheapest menu."

We ate here 1 night and were pleased with our food. Menu offered set menu's and a la carte. It was very busy the night we were there so think it is a popular choice with a good reputation.

We stopped here for a lovely dinner whilst staying nearby. Delicious beef bourguignon washed down with red wine. Gorgeous food and service with a smile. Really enjoyed it. Lots of locals dining too which was great to see. Thank you for a perfect evening. View menu

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. Despite my wife being lactose intolerant, the proprietor offered suggestions on the menu. The food was delicious, especially the local dishes. Frogs legs and piglet in an apple and calvados stew - amazing! And the bread just kept coming!

Called in here because it started raining hard and it was close to where we had parked!!A lucky find as the setting inside is so beautifully authentic, very old and cozy. The food was excellent and the hosts were very friendly, which when you have limited French vocabulary is a real bonus. If you eat here, you won't be disappointed.

Rare warm day in Normandy and there were no seats outside, no problem they accommodated us inside with a cold beer and within 15 mins we were outside. Starters of tartre of salmon for my other half and foie gras for me, perfect wine with a main dish of entrecôte beef and lamb ribs. All finished off with apple pie and profiteroles. Try this restaurant, tasty French cuisine and at a reasonable price. View menu

It was getting late and we needed a place to have dinner. We crossed Pont l'Eveque, saw this place and decided to stop. The restaurant has two dining areas, and we were seated in the ugly one, but - for a change in France - the table was spacious. The service was fast and attentive, our waitress kind and available. The food was not memorable, but it was tasty and flavoury. Their bread is a definite plus: not the standard baguette, but real, tasty, freshly baked bread. Prices were acceptable, although maybe a bit too high for the quality of the food.

Staying the night in this village, the four of us had dinner here. The place was quite busy that evening and many were French, which we interprete as a good sign. Food was very nice, good quality and fair portions. Service was good and efficient despite the crowd. We appreciated the setting and staff as friendly and the food as very nice, though nothing exceptional. We've been to several restaurants in this village. Most of them have similar levels of quality as this one. We believe this one just might be slightly preferred over the other ones we visited on previous occasions. We will consider revisiting when in the area.
