"Went to Ban Canteen for dinner on recommendation from our hotel staff at St Annen . Was very popular and busy but they found 2 spots for us very quickly . My husband needs gluten free food so had a main dish with chicken ,...rice and lovely green salad and herbs. They also had rice noodles which are gluten free too. I had some fried seafood which was really nice and a Vietnamese baguette . We also had some wine , chatted with the friendly German couple next to us and had a great evening. They also have a small shop next door that does cold rolls and baguettes that we have been to twice for lunch already in our 5 day stay in St Pauli . Hope the owners keep up the good work of providing simple , authentic Vietnamese meals."

eating was very fresh. the suppe was too smart. waitress was excellent and service was fast. the place was full of young natives who indicates that it is a popular dining place.

After we waited for almost an hour on a bare empty restaurant, we served some noodles with salat and a protein of choice. the protein was almost no existent, the salate and the pasta do not fit. it was terrible and inflammable at the end.

Nicely styled place with a small but well-formed menu. I was after vegan options, and that meant that my starter was very similar to my main course (but this can often be the case). Although it was nice, I have preferred other eastern restaurants with...a larger choice.

For my taste very delicious food (especially the Surf and Turf Burger). Unfortunately not so cozy (vietnamese small tables and stools and benches made of wood instead of plastic) no comfort when visiting the restaurant. Prices quite high, in the lunch table but good price performance.

Therefore 5 stars we had a couple of Tiger beers along with 3 main courses and starters we paid 80. quality of bowls Pho was good the home made sauces made the dishes really good There are for sure cheaper Vietnamese...restaurants, but Ambiente and people are Open and friendly great talks and easy to get to know locals, because seating is rather close ; Reserve for bigger groups, drop by as couples they will find a table ;

Follow to some recomendments from tripadvisor , i and my cousins stopped to here for some drinks. We ordered a chili drink and they decorated some slides of cucumber and chili smelless water as the photo , no chili fruit as we though i...guessed they were run out of chili , the Vietnamese coffee did not meet our request. We were all disappointed about our drinks here. We had to find another Vietnamese drinks place for another rest.

Good new vietnamese restaurant. It's not typical vietnamese, but definitely a german version thereof. Staff is super nice. A bit expensive for street food, but tastes good. The all in a bowl is delicious, but the pho could be better. I wish they had more...and different sauces for the pho and the all in a bowl to choose from. It is a bit sweet for my taste with just the hoisin sauce. It is missing the sour, fresh taste that I am used to from vietnamese food.

Vietnamese dinner in Hamburg. YES! Certainly they have their own spin on this a bit. Spring rolls were light and tasty. The bowls are hefty with so many good, fresh ingredients. Filling but not heavy. My first dinner here after a long international flight. Try...the fried squid too. Dusted with seasoning and a wonderful dipping sauce. Simple little place with a neighborhood feel. The lime ice tea was refreshing and paired well with the spices and the dehydration. They don't take credit cards- so bring your Euros.
