"we walked through the huge road festival in the dunes and wanted to sit a little quieter and eat with something shaded and discovered the bar giornale with many shade-giving sunshades. the waiters don't speak English, but we were in an Italian restaurant in Germany, so we can certainly not criticize it. we ordered a Caesar salad with garnel, a spaghetti carbonara, a medium-sized beer and a medium-sized glass wein. we were able to point out our desires on the menu and our Italian is fit for holiday. a few minutes later came a small glass beer (only 25cl) and a small glass wein. it is not really worth complaining because we could of course just order another glass if we wanted one. then came a small Caesar salad without garnel and obviously only one appetizer. the carbonara seemed mostly just spaghetti in a butter sauce with some oil, a few pieces of very fat pancetta (some pieces were literally just to throw away a piece of fat) and a lot of pfeffer - the latter probably to conceal the fact that it was missing any real taste. it seemed to be completely lacking of iron or a shot that are often used with a carbonara. we are aware that seeing is not used in many traditional recipes, but it demanded something to keep everything together. Oh, there was no parmesan either. the waiter let the teller fall on the table and out of it before we could even say something. it all felt too laborious to try to change the things, so we quickly finished and escaped:("

the waiter thinks he's the king, so no service, and he treats the people extremely rude. he ignores customers and says bad things.

we visited it when it was opened just 4-5 years ago) and we were very disappointed. we had drinks, but decided to eat elsewhere. 2 days ago we had a date on the other side of the road and decided to try again and were pleasantly surprised! new manager/personnel, great eating and service, had a great dinner. I will come back in any case!

I have been coming into the bare giornale for years - and after a series of lunches and dinners, eating in free and bare events I can honestly say that I never had a bad or boring meal. the menu is small but fine, always fresh – this is seasonal Italian cuisine from the finest and in very central location. the prices are also very good, both for eating and the location, as well as for the attentive service. there is a closed outdoor terrace and beautiful tables in the interior with linen table ceilings.

with a late flight and a covered business, our customer proposes the bar giornale for a late lunch. we are happy. it is not a more striking place, but the interieur has a pleasant patina that suggests that it has been a firm part of the laborious culinary life for some time. it was a good lunch. the menu covers the expected highlights. In view of its little bite, there are a few spasm dishes of the season. my colleague at a good steak, I had a blackout with tagliatelle and a salat. the wine card is varied and offers a good selection of delicious Central European options (like beautiful, not with frankly in comparison to the new world to be bombarded. great staff. good coffee and I wish we co...

had breakfast with friends in the giornale. I really like the atmosphere inside, feel really like in italia. the breakfast card is not huge, but it is probably something for everyone. there are also eier variations. the service was unfortunately quite bad as the waiter had forgotten a lot and it was hard to excite his attention. we ordered the largest breakfast for (approx. 39 eur,) the processo, hot drinks, oj, brot, butter included? , jam, nutella. cheese, sausage, top selection and touch. we were satisfied with the drinks, but eating sounded more than it was. at the end we found that it was quite average in terms of quantity and quality. we will be back in giornale, but rather lunch or di...
