"Bara Menyn Bakery, located on Chancery Lane near the old bakery and coffee shop, is a hidden gem in Cardigan worth seeking out. Their opening hours are limited to 12-4 on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, but there is always a queue for their amazing freshly made bread, pizza, and croissants. They also offer bags of coffee and local raw butter, both of which are delicious. The staff are always friendly and willing to help you choose from their variety of pizza toppings. Their thick focaccia pizza is glorious but dangerous, and their renowned croissants are heavenly - I particularly enjoyed the raspberry one today. Supporting this family-run enterprise is a great way to experience the best of Cardigan."

Friendly staff and amazing pastries, bread and breakfasts. An open fire during the storms was an added bonus. We cant wait to come back!

Fantastic lunch, real food from the heart. Borscht was perfect after a drive along the Teifi with my best friend DK. Ceramic cups perfect for a flat white. Thank you.

The cafe has relocated across the street but is still open for business. They offer the best bread and croissants in town. This bakery is a dream, with delicious pizzas and occasional special items. We absolutely love it.

Stopped here in the morning and had a lovely tortilla, bread (best I’ve had in a while) and perfect flat white. Food excellent and service was great. Will definitely be back. Even the music was perfect. In fact booked in for a couple of days away.

During our visit to Cardigan, we stopped by for a coffee and a snack, only to find that the bakery was no longer there. It is unclear if they have relocated or if they were forced to close due to the Covid pandemic. It was disheartening to see them gone.

These guys really know their bread and it shows in everything that they make; whatever shape it comes in and whether a loaf, a sandwich or toast it’s incredible. Simply perfect sourdough. Given the circumstances we couldn’t enjoy the usual fare (hence the 4 spots rather than 5) but instead procured through the hatch to enable distancing etc. Coffee was awesome, had a couple of sandwiches with local cheese and homemade chutneys (both excellent and that made for a great little picnic lunch) and a loaf for tomorrow’s breakfast. Folk were lovely, hygiene and COVID practices were all excellent...

We came for lunch in desperation, as places were closing down and we were running out of options. I have a severe seed allergy, and could not find anything to eat in this place. In the end, I settled for plain toast with homemade beans. This was basically the only option suitable for me. It was tasty beans on toast, with rustic bread. I know this restaurant does not intend to appeal to the demographic of seed-allergics, but it was hard to find something safe and non-contaminated to eat. I’m not saying this is a bad restaurant, I’m just warning you, if you have a seed allergy, it’s not a good idea to come here.
