"Been visiting Barbican centre over many years but never really sat down for a proper meal. The restaurant had a nice vibe, staff seemed great and knows their wines. With it being evening, the church looked picturesque across the way. I think for London city, the set menu prices were reasonable. For starters I choose the scallops, they were delicious and well complemented. I loved the touch of fresh seaweed, the smell taking you to the ocean. Mains I went for the Pappardelle pasta, braised venison, pecorino cheese, toasted hazelnuts super tender and sauce was delicious. Being a cheese fiend I wouldn’t have minded a little more pecorino (just not sure if it would have been frowned upon), nevertheless was still tasty. Tried bit of the pork loin, lovely and tender, with a delicious sauce and various vegetables to complement it. Though I’m still not a fan of the type of ‘popcorn’ style crackling people make, I much prefer the mixture of the traditional crunch and melt in mouth textures. I’m happy to return on my future visits."

Friendly and inviting ambience, good food and drink. Very convenient for pre concert meal. We enjoyed it very much and will book again when next at the Barbican.

Great location, tatty interior, service adequate but not particularly friendly , food average. Pricing wasn’t explained properly so ended up paying far more than we expected.

I recently visited a new restaurant in Barbicon. While the menu was somewhat limited, the food was delicious and the service was quick and attentive. Our only major complaint was the poor lighting; it seems that in a historic building, the ambiance has been neglected over time. View menu

Great food for a pre-theater meal. Although it wasn't overly busy when we arrived, the service was a bit frustrating. We ordered an olive appetizer that didn’t arrive until after our starter was served, and our glass of champagne also showed up only after the wine we’d ordered for our meal. However, the food was enjoyable. Both the starter and the main dishes were delicious.

We encountered a minor issue with our reservation, but the venue addressed it smoothly by moving us to a slightly later time, which we really appreciated. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. I ordered a Mary Pickford cocktail, which I've had before and loved, but this time it seemed a bit weaker. Nevertheless, it was still good, and the cocktails are reasonably priced. We also enjoyed the affordable £31 set menu, which offered a few options for customization. Overall, we were very happy with our experience!
