"Visited a few months ago. A truly pleasant evening was spent in this purely fish restaurant. The restaurant is simply and tastefully furnished, managing to combine an informal atmosphere with an intimate setting, especially if you dine early, as my partner and I love to do. The service throughout the evening was simply magnificent, the expertise in explaining the dishes, down to the smallest details even from those who were not responsible for bringing them to the table, was truly excellent. Worthy of a starred restaurant, without a doubt. The food was much appreciated, especially the fish-based courses. Both my tartare, with scampi and foie gras, and the one with red tuna were excellent. My cacio, pepe and sea urchin linguine are fantastic... if there had been a little more sea urchin it would be a legendary dish! The sea urchin had an embarrassing freshness and intensity, given how good it was. My partner instead had a soft egg with asparagus, parmesan foam and pepper water. The dish wasn 't up to par with the others, and then too much water! Followed by a superlative San Pietro with friarelli and clam sauce for me and a red snapper with cream of broccoli and braised spring onion for my partner who also treated herself to a revisited tiramisu, with buffalo ricotta instead of mascarpone. From a very careful and not at all banal wine list I chose an excellent Timorasso Derthona di Massa. Excellent wine. To find nitpicks, one area for improvement, in my opinion, is the composition and description of the dishes on the menu: for example in my scampi tartare, foie gras is mentioned, thus creating expectations, only to then be 'nail; while the most particular part, i.e. an onion compote which gave a pleasant crunchiness to the dish, was not present in the menu description. Another thing: beyond the preparation, which as already mentioned, was not successful, I would tell you to remove the egg from the menu... it has nothing to do with the rest of the menu. Price absolutely in line with the quality of the dishes. Dessert and grappa offered! Thank you very much and well done"

Good, unpretentious cuisine that gets to the point. Some ups and downs in the dishes but overall the quality is there

gourmet fish dishes. tried appetizer (parmigiana of rainbow fish: good but not exceptional,) a first and a second (burned pebble: very Gothic). good presence of bread

a place in Milan where you feel at home and have at the same time fish of high quality. the kitchen is wanted, while remaining traditional. the place is refined, while staying simple. The service is that of a high-level restaurant, while staying at hand. recommended. Go try it if you haven't done it yet.

difficult to find places like this in Milan. impeccable service, fish of extraordinary quality and wise hands that move fast between the stoves of the kitchen to view. barmare teaches us that in food and wine, the real luxury is culture, knowledge, simplicity, the renewal of traditions in beard to opulence and unnecessarily stellate exhibitionism. Thanks for the nice evening, guys. View menu

work dinner. guest found herself very well. great food, even if to me did not convince a lot of appetizer, shrimp toast, but they are details..poi rombo excellent, dessert as well. the problem is the account. too expensive.. I understand the bills and the cost of the raw materials increased, but 150 euros in two without even taking a bottle, but two glasses of mud is too much for what eaten.

small and pleasant location. open kitchen and educated staff. discreet wine list. we have tasted appetizers, first, second and sweet (excellent tiramisù) and flavors are pleasant and well served dishes. an aspect that I do not like, is the fact of seeing that the fish was taken from the cells already divided into uncompromising monopours (I suppose and hope prepared by the kitchen). I chose to cheat to eat fish. for me, eating fish is not compatible with the above. high prices, justified by the position (centre thousand. )

"Visited months ago The label of a vegetarian restaurant absolutely does not correspond to what Joia represents in the Italian gastronomic panorama. We are talking about the maximum expression of haute cuisine, overwhelming ideas, bold and unexpected combinations, exceptional raw materials, all served in an exclusive environment suitable for providing customers with a fantastic experience. Chef Leemann showed up in person to take the order and give his suggestions on the sequence of dishes. The service staff has always proven to be very prepared to answer all our questions or curiosities about the dish itself and this knowledge was not only the heritage of the waiter who brought the dish to our table and described it to us, but of all the staff who, even randomly, we stopped to ask for further explanation! The wine list was excellent from which we chose a Barbera d 'Alba by Bartolo Mascarello. But let 's get to the food. As entrees... and calling them entrees is definitely limiting! We were offered 2 wonderful tastings which unfortunately I cannot remember in their composition, but the first was a cream with carrot and rhubarb served in a mini terracotta vase, while the second appeared like a palette of colors where some fantastic raw materials sauces could be combined manually. My lunch then began with the Cantiam la montanara where, under a soft celery foam, there was a composition of green asparagus, spring onion and truffle on chopped borlotti beans. Fantastic dish, sublime with exceptional aromas!. I then continued with The navel of the world , a wonderfully plated dish where two types of rice are used, one as a base made with asparagus and watercress, and in the center a Venere rice cake finished on top with saffron almond cream . Finally I closed the lunch with a selection of 8 cheeses, some of which were truly exceptional, accompanied by jams/honey. Obviously the bill is in line with the proposal and with the experience. I must say that it was truly a pleasure and an honor."
