"After a disappointing dinner the night before in Barcelona we were very much looking forward enjoying a great dinner. And Basea did not disappoint us at all, in fact they even have beaten our high expectations. Basea is a nice, modern but sober decorated restaurant. Much more important to mention are the knowledgeable and very enthusiastic people from the restaurant itself who are clearly fans of good food themselves. Because that is what Basea serves: dishes based on excellent quality and fresh ingredients. Ether being it the fantastic beef carpaccio, the incredibly delicious anchovies or the great turbot. Further very well prepared leak with a delicious hollandaise sauce. Together with great Spanish wines a dinner to remember. Unfortunately they are closed Sundays Mondays otherwise we would have returned in order to discover the rest of the menu. A must go."

El servicio lamentable: Nos traían platos que no eran nuestros, primero nos trajeron los segundos y 15 minutos más tarde los primeros, de no creer. Le pedí agua al camarero dos veces y jamas me la trajo. No llegamos al postre. Muy mal. Ojalá mejore porque el lugar es muy lindo.

La comida húmeda es baja. Tenía expectativas muy altas. El cerdo era muy bueno pero tenía frío. El desafortunado servicio: Nos trajeron platos que no eran nuestros, nos trajeron primero los segundos y 15 minutos después los primeros, sin creer. Le pedí al camarero dos veces agua y nunca me la trajo. No llegamos al postre. Muy mal. Ojalá pudiera mejorar porque el lugar es tan lindo.

This is the second time I have eaten at Basea, Staff is very welcoming and keen to explain the dishes. There is a good choice of meat, fish and vegetables. This time we ordered the sandwich brioche de papada iberica, the leeks, the asparagus and the chuleton which is served with fries and grilled peppers. All delicious! Desserts are excellent too and wine by the glass is good and well priced. Highly recommended.
