"We stopped here only because there were tables in the sunshine. It was busy enough, Sunday 13:30. Ordered two glasses of wine and two tapas. The waiter returned after a few minutes with the wine. He asked us to remind him what tapas we had ordered a few minutes earlier. He returned after a while with the first tapa. He came back again, after about 5 minutes, and informed me that my tapa choice was not available. Happens. So I changed my order. I waited, sipping my wine, but no sign of my tapa. My companion ate her tapa and we sipped our wine. Still no sign of that elusive second tapa. Once we had finished our drinks, I went in to pay. The bar counter was laden with a wide variety of tapas. I asked the waiter for the bill and queried what had happened to my tapa. Apparently, they didn’t have that one either. But clearly he couldn’t be bothered to let me know."

Was good service, well cooked, reasonably priced food and staff were excellent. We looked around for ages for somewhere to eat in the centre of Salamanca and just opted for here as it looked clean and busy. Wasn’t expecting much but actually was really good food and well presented.

There don’t seem to be any tapas portions or half-raciones, so whatever you order it will be a large plate all of the same. All very basic, unsophisticated stuff. The pimientos del padrón very very good though. I was taken aback by the prices, I thought I must have left Spain and arrived in a different country. Staff are indifferent.
