"I will start with the good part because it will be very brief. The restaurant itself is very nice inside, old Paris bistro style with lots of character. The service is pretty good, although not exceptional. That's about it for the good part. At the...moment Benoit is way below the standard of a 1 Michelin star restaurant. The food is average at best and I have major doubts that the ingredients they use are fresh, which is unacceptable in such an establishment. For the starters we had a paté en croûte which was alright, although perhaps too garlicy, and the chilled lobster, which was clearly not fresh and lacked any particular flavour. For the mains we had the tenderloin which was average, not bad but certainly nothing special, I've had better beef in many other normal Paris bistros. We also had a casoulette, which wasn't great: the meat was quite bland and the chicken tasted a bit funny which was worrying, we couldn't finish it. The dessert was also disappointing. The profiteroles lacked flavour and the savarin was drenched in Armagnac to the point that it reeked of it and it quite simply felt like eating alcohol. The worst part is that the table next to us ordered amongst other things the pollock, which smelled very bad almost as though it was spoiled I suspect it was kept frozen for a long time because the fish also had a very questionable grayish colour; it was very off putting and personally I would have sent it back. It's true that given its 1 star rating it's not very expensive but I was not also expecting a cheap experience."

We enjoyed dining in this historic restaurant. Close to the Pompidou and a great place for dinner after a visit there. Portions were very large, especially dessert. We enjoyed sampling the traditional French dishes and found this to be our favorite meal in Paris.

Our starters, the mushroom tart and the cookpot of seps and figs both were magnificent. The entree of skate wing was less than wonderful. It was overcooked which made it almost impossible to cut. However, our bottle of 2017 Pauillac was the star of our...meal. The staff all were delightful and helpful.

Those lookin for a quintessential Parisian bistro experience need look no further than Benoit, which I found on a list of top 10 bistros in Paris. The ambience, service and particularly the food was delicious- in particular the foie gras topped beef and the mouth...watering escargots were the standouts. Delicious!

We took lunch on September 22nd, and nothing announced what waa about to happen. We were served an unrequested bottle of water that end costing us9 Euro. The portions were very similar to a trattoria, but believe it or nor it was the...first time in my life that we could not eat the desserts. The cream was so fat lackibg any flavour. I do not know how they got their Michelin star, but I believe that it was a long time ago

Our meal at Benoit was like opening your gifts on Christmas morning: you have high expectations and they are met and exceeded. From the amuse bouche through three courses and then a second, post-dessert amuse bouche, it was like a bottomless Christmas stocking. We had...foie gras, cod confit, profiteroles with chocolate by Alain Ducasse. Excellent wine pairings and charming staff. A gem of a restaurant amid two dozen other cafes in a very busy and touristy spot. Would eat here again.

seriously undermining! the greeting was restless. the waiter got the crying request wrong and the red came before the white. the selection of foods is strongly meat-oriented and heavy. eating was not only rare, but quite raw! They can eat much better and. much better drink wine somewhere else. on the next table a customer threw a tantrum over the quality of his food. not great. this place must have a serious review of its standards round. I rarely give a negative assessment. but we would come back. No!

this was one of the least pleasant culinary experiences we ever had. After working in fine restaurants when I say that this service was terrible, we had a waiter who didn't even care about taking our order or checking us. when we finally got to order, he got the command completely wrong and left my friend one and a half hours without eating before we could fly him back. when I confronted him directly, he said he was busy, but he had only 2 tables and the other table (which next to us) was perfectly wrapped. Maybe this review could be better if it was excellent, but it wasn't. it is simply overpriced, moderately tasting eating with terrible service. if they want to enjoy dinner, they will not...
