From the warm friendly greeting upon arriving to the service and not to forget the food. Best steak I have had in a very long time. Everything was just how we hoped it would be and more. This pub is my favorite in the entire country. We originally just stopped in to say hello and have a pint of OP, but Mark tempted us with the Sunday carvery. The food was fabulous, the beer was the tastiest, and the staff were the best.

beautiful place very old pub like x, which was a refreshing change of weatherspoons, where they all had the same x friendly saffron x but its the food x absolutely beautuful food x we had the meat cake with veg and made home chips x mouth wateringly good x but go when they starve the portions are massiw x really goid aftert not to expensuve x very

A great carvery that gives you enough food not to feel hungry for hours. The staff were all friendly and helpful, there was a great atmosphere and it seemed very popular with the locals, which I always take as a good sign. They recommended booking and I can see why as it was very popular. If we are back in the area, we will definitely be going again.
