"As a family we eat at a local pub once a month, sometimes more. The pub we've used countless times in Warnham today lost our custom. They've always taken far more care of their conversations than their customers and we've had enough. The Black Horse is simply brilliant in comparison. Parking, views, food, service, timing, every kindness and concern for accessibility and disability given. Quite frankly the best. Ignore the negative reviews, not a shred of truth in them we think. Loved our time today, we'll be back. Lovely to be looked after like one of the family, by a family run business"

Made to feel very welcome on arrival. Roast beef was really tasty and chicken leek and bacon pie was good too. Couldn’t fault anything or anyone, staff all friendly and attentive, we had a very pleasant lunch. Thank you!

Disappointing Sunday roast very little meat,t two small thin slices and ok vegetables. Certainly not worth £19.95. Have had fabulous lunch here in the past. Prices are a lot more expensive than on the website. Sadly won't be going back

Very rustic country pub. Enjoyed sitting outside under cover on such a hot day. Let down by the toilets though. Although clean enough the one and only little window had about 5years worth of cobwebs all over it. Not pleasant and so easy to sort out.

Fabulous! As always this pub is amazing….. home cooked food, friendly staff, lovely location. My husband had the halloumi starter which was gorgeous. I had my favourite, steak and mushroom suet pudding, which was delightful. Cannot recommend this establishment enough. Thank you guys.

We love walking to the Black Horse and having lunch in the garden by the stream. Food always excellent, good quality and plentiful, plus a warm welcome from everyone. First time having Sunday lunch today, and we were really impressed with the veggie wellington... And the Yorkies were the best we've had anywhere!

I visited with my a ninety nine year old, and photographer for a book piece about Bomber Command and WW2 Lancaster Pathfinders. The Blackhorse had a superb atmosphere, with open fires, and very helpful friendly staff. A wide range of food options were available, and our meals were served promptly, and very tasty.

Lovely quaint old pub. Food was excellent and the female member of staff who was the only one serving in the pub was excellent. Despite been busy working on her own, she was very attentive and polite to everyone. My only negative comment is the toilets badly need a makeover. I felt I was going back in time to the 70'S at my Grandmother's house when I entered the Ladies toilet. Also there was a massive cobweb by the window in the Ladies toilet that looked liked it has been there for a very long time.

Lovely looking country pub. Entered and informed by the gentleman serving that the Kitchen had finished, this was at 13.45, sign showed 14.00. No I'll try to accomodate you if you choose something simple. Can only assume this was the owner, because if he was a memeber of staff you need to get rid of him. Customer sevice was pathetic. From other reviews a great experience has been had, you must have been served by someone else. From meals we could see which were just being served to customers, they looked very inviting. Great food, terrible attitude from male staff

Following recommendations on Trip Advisor I booked a table for our group of 4 for lunch following a visit to Leonardslee. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We received a warm welcome and settled at a table outside the pub. The pub is in a lovely spot in the countryside. The menu was extensive with some fabulous specials including venison and sea bass which were excellent as well as delicious pies. The service from the young lady was excellent very friendly and super efficient. I wish this lovely pub was more local for us. If we are in the area again we will definitely return!

"So, the first problem was the booking (and the exact same thing had happened the previous time we arrived at this restaurant with an Open Table booking). I had made the booking online and received confirmation both via email and in the OT app, which I could show at the restaurant. When I made the booking very limited times were available: nothing between 11.45am and 2pm, so we assumed the restaurant would be crowded. When we arrived a little before our 2pm booking, it was three-quarters empty and they had no record of my booking. Since the place was largely empty this didn't matter, but on another occasion it might have done. And maybe one reason the place was so empty was that other potential customers had also seen no availability between 11.45am and 2pm, so Cote had no online bookings. Either Open Table or Cote need to sort out what is wrong with their booking systems as it seems that in Horsham at least the systems do not talk to each other. The food was fine, typical Cote just as you would expect, but the service was disappointing. In a largely empty restaurant one might expect efficient and attentive service but we got nothing of the sort. It was hard to get attention from any server and we had to request some items several times. Someone who from her dress was probably the duty manager, spent most of her time lounging or chatting with other staff members rather than making sure customers got good service."
