"Bonnie Gull is a new addition here, specializing in seafood. Tucked away on a side street, this compact space features a long bar overlooking the kitchen, where you can watch the chefs work their magic. I always appreciate when chefs are passionate about their craft, and at Bonnie Gull, the chefs seemed genuinely happy and inspired, working as a cohesive team. The staff in the dining area manage the small space exceptionally well and are incredibly friendly. The service is professional and knowledgeable without feeling condescending. In such an intimate setting, where patrons are close together, it's essential for the staff to maintain a relaxed demeanor. My only suggestion would be to avoid the seats nearest to the door; the constant opening and closing can be a bit distracting, especially during colder weather. Aside from that minor detail, I have no complaints. We decided to start our meal with a couple of tapas-style dishes, including two oysters and croquettes served with curry mayo—an unusual pairing that surprisingly worked well. The oysters were fresh and flavorful, and we also enjoyed some grilled Scottish langoustine cooked in garlic butter, though I wished there had been more of these delicious creatures. The spicy toast was tender and fresh, too. My favorite dish was the "fish our water"—a creative take on a fish dish. As a fan of bavette steak, I was curious to see how a seafood restaurant would interpret meat. The steak was marinated in basil pesto butter and cooked to a perfect pink. It melted in my mouth and was truly satisfying. Overall, the meal was well-rounded and enjoyable. As a tapas-style seafood bar, Bonnie Gull certainly scores high marks. There are additional seats and tables at the back for those who prefer more traditional dining, but I encourage everyone to sit at the bar and watch the chefs at work, especially when the results are so beautifully presented. It was also great to see a strong female presence in the kitchen. With other locations in Fitzrovia and Mayfair, Bonnie Gull is definitely a must-visit for seafood lovers in the city."

Great service (until it came to Bill time), lovely fresh (hand caught) seafood. Tried a couple of different wines need some guidance on the matching, but great experience. Be warned it's small!

Great £1 Happy Hour Oyster deal, otherwise a fairly pricey but interesting menu. Wet Bar small seating area serving a decent range of fish seafood along with a range of small dishes. Nice place with friendly attentive staff.

There aren't enough words to describe how amazing this whole meal was. Fish was moist and flaky, oysters tasted so clean and the mussels were cooked just right. And the chips.. omg the chips... Super crispy outside and fluffy in the middle

Crispy, light, fresh and scrumptious! Filling but not heavy—definitely a great foodie experience! I ate at the bar and got my food almost immediately. The staff and chefs are super friendly, and the restaurant has a chill atmosphere. All in all, definitely a 5/5 experience! View menu

relatiw new opener, it is small, quiet and had a nice atmosphere. service was good, eating was pretty good. some dishes were not great imo, but others were divine (I look at slowly cooked tint fish). there is a selection of oysters. the prices are fair and are not much more expensive than near koya.

Highlights include: - Taramasalata: 9/10 - Tempura Fried Oysters: 8.5/10 - Sardines: 9/10 - Mussels: 9/10 - John Dory with Sardella Butter: 9/10 (especially good that day) - Hake: 8.5/10 Overall, the oysters were fantastic. The only dish I wouldn’t recommend is the ceviche, which could use some rethinking. I highly recommend this spot for enjoyable wines, cocktails, and delicious seafood.

Fantastic! All the dishes were incredible, and the menu was truly intriguing. I spent eight nights in London and dined there twice. The seafood was undoubtedly fresh, and the menu adjusted between my visits to showcase the day's best ingredients. The dessert was also outstanding. With so many tourists flocking to Leicester Square, I highly recommend making the short journey to Soho; it’s definitely worth the extra few hundred meters. View menu

We order Oyster, pickled herring and Mussels as starters. All are very nice. Especially the herring, I first had that in Amsterdam and the one here is definitely much better. Then come to the main focus of tonight, the fish and chips! We are lucky to get the last one of the night, and it is just 7pm only. It is so fresh and crispy. When you hit it with your folk, you get a lovely crunchy sound. And it keep it crispiness even we spend couple minutes taking photo and enjoy it slowly. Everything is good here with a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

This place knows seafood! Tucked away in the heart of Soho, this gem ticked all the boxes of a fine, affordable, friendly seafood establishment. We were greeted warmly by the chefs at the bar, by name from the host who took us back to our snug table. We settled on a bottle of gorgeous wine and set out to pick our culinary voyage. 3 Jersey rock and 3 Poole oysters to start. Followed by the most magnificent squid toast, scallops, cod cheeks, leeks, fries, and hake. Our waitress was there to help, suggesting the great wine and especially the hake. I highly recommend this spot!
