"boojum is a Mexican burrito bar that also serves other traditional Mexican street dishes, including tacos, burrito bowls and nachos. there are several filials throughout the city, and several more in the entire republic of the country and north of Ireland. boojum is perfect for a quick lunch or eating while exploring the city, and when ordering you can customize any dish as they want it. my friend and I ate in boojum before I picked up our transfer back to the airport. when we were pressed for the time, we needed the speed and free time boojum offered. the only disadvantage is that boojum is not meat substitutes, such as soy stripes, tofu or sincean, and no vegan cheese, but they can compensate their dishes with many black beans, salsa and guacamole."

A solid amount of food for the price. Would be nice if there was more variety of vegan options vegan cheese, tofu, seitan, etc.

Great place to eat Food is absolutely amazing however depending on time you go you can be queuing for quite a while! However that just says how great the food is

they have many vegan ingredients to make a giant wrap. careful with the spicy. they are also very friendly. a point in favor is that they have bigger schedules than other sites.

Highly recommend, as it's the cheapest fresh option here in Belfast, (save for a tesco picnic) and portion sizes are fairly big. The bowl is huge and they really let you pack on the toppings!

A ubiquitous option in Belfast with at least 5 branches across the city. As soon as you ask for the veggie option staff will ask if they should change their gloves personally I don't mind but it's a nice touch. Beans rice beans guac salsa, what's not to like.

Currently there are great vegan options. I had sweet potatoes and lenses tacos. with all the circumcisions. even vegan acid. what is not to love. that was in the victoria square filiale. not sure why it is not listed, but it is the same business. three drill chili also available, rice options etc.

Lovely food and friendly service. I ordered a burrito bowl and when I said I was vegan she offered to change her gloves. A few cheese shreds had fallen into the lettuce so she went and got a fresh box of lettuce from the kitchen. The food is lovely and filling, and really good value £5.45 for a burrito bowl that would almost do 2 meals!

Boojum has locations around NI and some in the ROI too now. It's massively popular with students, so much so that queues can often be seen out the door at peak times (usually weekday lunchtimes). Their veggie option is a base of rice, beans and peppers which is mildly seasoned. When the chain first opened, this food was a real novelty, however due to the boom of burrito places, I must mark Boojum down as the lack of variety in the menu (bowls, tacos and burritos are all filled the same way) and somewhat bland nature of the seasoning. It's OK and mid priced, but look elsewhere for interesting mexican.

"enjoyed our evening in james st it was the best culinary experience of our trip! we had been happy to see this evening as we had a few hit-N-seals in the course of our trip to belfast. we were not disappointed and had the fabulous evening. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. the place is beautiful and spacious. revitalized and environment. the bar is great and would like to come back, only for drinks at the bar sometime. we ordered cocktails immediately. an Irish gin negroni and a traditional old fashion. my neger was absolutely excellent. I think the old fashion could have been done with real sugar cubes and not sugar syrup, but it wasn't too bad. we were quick to choose our wein. we chose a beautiful juicy red, the cline, the old vine zinfandel, 2019. to begin we had the ham hock terrine with piccalilli champ bread and some scallops with boar bell. the hanging-hock court was the best ham-hock I had. the homemade piccalilli was something else. really nice crispy and sharp sharp to help cut through the hammock and the champbrot was delicious crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. the scallops and black bells were disappointing, as they lacked no salt or genuine aroma or texture between them. we still ate it and shared the rest of my hammock. we both decided to go for the co. tyrone 270g fillet steak with sides of champ and truffle parmesan chips. red wine and pfeffer sauce. they were fantastic steaks. Actually, I didn't think I would finish mine, but I did. I have met the right choice with the jus and the truffle chips. they went so well together, the dryness of the parmesan and sweet, slightly greasy of the jus. the steaks were perfectly cooked. a medium and my medium rare. fantastic aroma on the grilled outside of the steak and beautiful texture when they pierce. we both agreed that the champ was the best champ we ever cost. it was hot, soft, so well aromatized with hot butter on the top of the copper serving pot melt. it was really the most incredible champ. I was too full of dessert. but my sample ordered the sticky toffee pudding sundae. the team was friendly enough to make me an espresso martini that was both decaf and not a sugar syrup. it was brilliant. we both managed to work our way, although a surprisingly light sticky toast desserts on Sunday. the team was fantastic. very friendly and chatting to us. the bar team did not stop, I had the pleasure of standing and watching them make a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the waiting staff were also very friendly when they check in with us at comfortable places to ensure that we were in order. we felt very well looked around. the service was very good, we didn't feel any hurry, it felt like such a free time in this restaurant. when we come back to belfast, we will be back in absolute terms and we will definitely recommend others. Thank you."

"I'm an American. I was invited to work at the queen’s university in a global conference. my airline has moved my baggage, so I stopped in the barking dog to use her wlan to check the status of my baggage and have a drink and a snack with my associate who has unusual allergies. the menu had nothing to call us, so we have decided to finish and move only our drinks./ at no point has anyone informed that it is illegal to have only drinks, and our server ran our review without mentioning any legal requirements. After I paid, someone who I suspect, the manager, came to the table and checked our reception. exactly what I thought was what they said before they cheated on me how it is illegal to buy drinks in a restaurant without eating. I apologised and explained that I had no warning. I offered to buy food retroactive and they refused. then they repeated that I was in a restaurant and not in a pub and that my activities were illegal. they denied my multiple attempts to apologise me while I explained that I am not out of the opposite. this experience was very confusing for me, because the night before me had drinks in a restaurant without food and it was no problem. in any case I was told that there is no such law and that the ordering of drinks without eating in a restaurant is very common. I've never been treated so badly in a customer service dynamic and I'm not sure why this happened. I feel targeted and totally mistreated for what does not seem to be a good reason. To finish it, it was my birthday. complete error in the name of what this person was. I will say the rest of the staff was very pleasant and accommodating."
