"love eating here. as already mentioned, they can absorb in the actual vegan, but the milk finds its way culturally into a lot of Nepalese food, even the brot rubbed with ghee (clear butter), with Indian foods or naan in general. the veggie options are so delicious. as a huge fan of curries, even my going to the places would serve bland and water mixed veg to times of high demand, but eating here is always full of taste and fun. the krishna thali is immensely worth and delicious mix of curry, pickles, side and brot with the already mentioned momos (pumps) may be the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. the quirky prakash will take care of them, recurring specializations and in the regular again with layers of nepal and its culture."

I have experienced the Kathmandu Kitchen as absolutely decent Nepalese restaurant. I was one of only two guests at lunch time, so there was not much waiting time. I had a Daal with mushroom rice (rice has to be ordered additionally, hence it is not included in the main dish). All in all good and decent. The waiter was attentive and friendly.

Offers authentic Nepalese dishes that are delicious, freshly made, healthy and easy on the oil. There are numerous veggie options and for vegans, staff are very friendly and accommodating and will leave out, for example, cream for kormas, or paneer from the veggie momos. I would recommend the festival bean soup, momos, and the amazing pancha ratna daal.

The waiter I spoke to when I arrived didn't know what vegan meant, but that was more of a language barrier than a lack of knowledge I think. I asked him to tell me which of the veg options were dairy-free, which was fine, and there was a good choice. The food was lovely, and the portions were a good size. Friendly service and a really calm atmosphere that contributed to my enjoyment of the food.

I love the food at this restaurant. They can accommodate vegans, although dairy is a common ingredient in Nepalese and Indian food, including the bread rubbed with clarified butter. The vegetarian options are delicious and full of flavor. The Krishna Thali is a great value, with a mix of curry, pickles, sides, bread, and amazing momos (dumplings). The waiter, Prakash, is quirky and will take good care of you, recommending specials and sharing stories about Nepal. Definitely give this place a try! View menu

I visit this restaurant regularly and always have a great time. The waiter, Prakash, is very friendly and helpful. I usually start with the vegetable momos (vegan), which are delicious. They have a variety of vegan and vegetarian starters, but I always go for the momos. For my main dish, I love the Dal Makhani (vegetarian) and the Aloo Tama (vegan), which is a tomato-based curry with potatoes, bamboo shoots, and legumes. During my last visit, I got a starter, main course, and a beer or wine for $14.99. I'm not sure if this deal is only available on weekdays or all week.

a medium-sized but good leisure offer. they offer Indian favorites along with Nepalese specialties that are really worth trying. their momos (pumps) are only divine from this world good. I wish I would eat them now as I write! not so good for vegans, as many of the best sauces contain cream or ghee. if they have requirements, they will join them, but it is best to go and explain themselves instead of relying on online order. as already said, prakash is great! the price point is somewhat higher than the average for an Indian restaurant, but the novelty of the kitchen reflects this.

I visit them regularly and I enjoy visiting everyone. first, the regular waiter, prakash, is a really very nice guy and extremely helpful. for a starter I also go for the veg momos (vegan). there are many delicious vegan and vegetarian appetizers, but I can never look past the momos. if you never tried it, you have to. for one thing my favorites are a understanding dal makhani (vegetarian, like butter and cream). the aloo Tama(Vegan) is excellent, a tomato-based curry with kartoffels, bambus shoots and nuts. during my last visit it was 14.99 for a starter and head with a beer or wine. I am uncertain if this was only during the weekday or the whole week. View menu

eat in kathmandu kitchen now twice and it is nice. visually this is a dated restaurant and was cool at my first visit, but much warmer at the second time round. I found the food pleasant, but seasoning mirror too high for my taste. after I tried net of chana masala (chickpeas) and sweet bhuna I found her a lot of spicier when I preferred it. These are usually mild to medium-heavy dishes and were actually marked as medium-wage on the kathmandu kitchen menu – but they were fiery hot. also pay attention to the order, as vegetarian dishes sometimes appear to contain wipers – so if they are vegan, they must be aware of it and do not give them a wiper cheese. complimentary poppadoms were a nice no...

Dropped £39.50 on a takeaway to have with friends I was visiting in Belfast (LOVE BELFAST!! Was assured that all food that I ordered was vegan. Their postings say they are vegan-friendly so thought all was good. Told half hour but had to wait another 15 mins when i got there. Got back (3 miles ftom restaurant) started eating vegan kebab and realised it was full of coleslaw. Felt really sick at thought of eating egg so was unable to pick at other bits we haf got with takeaway. Realy gutted totally frustrated with restaurants claiming to be vegan-friendly who are, very clearly, not. Will not be returning did go to japanese restaurant nearby called Sakura amazing vegan menu try avacado and tofu...

"enjoyed our evening in james st it was the best culinary experience of our trip! we had been happy to see this evening as we had a few hit-N-seals in the course of our trip to belfast. we were not disappointed and had the fabulous evening. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. the place is beautiful and spacious. revitalized and environment. the bar is great and would like to come back, only for drinks at the bar sometime. we ordered cocktails immediately. an Irish gin negroni and a traditional old fashion. my neger was absolutely excellent. I think the old fashion could have been done with real sugar cubes and not sugar syrup, but it wasn't too bad. we were quick to choose our wein. we chose a beautiful juicy red, the cline, the old vine zinfandel, 2019. to begin we had the ham hock terrine with piccalilli champ bread and some scallops with boar bell. the hanging-hock court was the best ham-hock I had. the homemade piccalilli was something else. really nice crispy and sharp sharp to help cut through the hammock and the champbrot was delicious crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. the scallops and black bells were disappointing, as they lacked no salt or genuine aroma or texture between them. we still ate it and shared the rest of my hammock. we both decided to go for the co. tyrone 270g fillet steak with sides of champ and truffle parmesan chips. red wine and pfeffer sauce. they were fantastic steaks. Actually, I didn't think I would finish mine, but I did. I have met the right choice with the jus and the truffle chips. they went so well together, the dryness of the parmesan and sweet, slightly greasy of the jus. the steaks were perfectly cooked. a medium and my medium rare. fantastic aroma on the grilled outside of the steak and beautiful texture when they pierce. we both agreed that the champ was the best champ we ever cost. it was hot, soft, so well aromatized with hot butter on the top of the copper serving pot melt. it was really the most incredible champ. I was too full of dessert. but my sample ordered the sticky toffee pudding sundae. the team was friendly enough to make me an espresso martini that was both decaf and not a sugar syrup. it was brilliant. we both managed to work our way, although a surprisingly light sticky toast desserts on Sunday. the team was fantastic. very friendly and chatting to us. the bar team did not stop, I had the pleasure of standing and watching them make a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the waiting staff were also very friendly when they check in with us at comfortable places to ensure that we were in order. we felt very well looked around. the service was very good, we didn't feel any hurry, it felt like such a free time in this restaurant. when we come back to belfast, we will be back in absolute terms and we will definitely recommend others. Thank you."
