"Unter den Bäumen zu essen ist nett, aber wir haben einfach nicht mit dem Geschmack des Uruguay Chefs gepasst! Von der Nice Fork Broschüre, die uns dorthin führte, lasen wir über eine spanische mediterrane Küche, aber als wir saßen, wurde uns ein lateinamerikanisches Menü für Hauptgerichte mit einer eher begrenzten Auswahl vorgeschlagen.Wir können nicht sagen, dass Essen weder gut noch schlecht präsentiert wurde, aber wir mochten diese schwarzen Bohnen, das fettige Schweinefleisch, die Maispräsenz im Fischgericht nicht: einfach waren wir nicht auf den Kochstil eingestellt.Am Ende war das einzig Bemerkenswerte die Focaccia im kleinen Brotkorb! Was ist nicht die beste Note, für ein Restaurant!"

Conoscendo già gli altri 2 ristoranti del trio (Tabla e Twist), è lecito arrivare qui con aspettative piuttosto alte, e consapevoli che la qualità abbia un suo prezzo. Purtroppo in questo caso siamo rimasti delusi: antipasti in miniatura e qualità discutibile quanto il servizio. Unico buon piatto quello più caro della carta. Finding a small characteristic place to take 5 clients from different cultures. Never an easy task. Now I have found the place! Lovely atmosphere, fantastic small, but varied menu and a great selection of wines at honest prices. Great staff. Plenty of on site parking....The only problem? Address is wrong! It's located in GENTILINO not Lugano, though close. Should be there in the near future.

An utterly charming restaurant, BdeB serves the best South American dishes I have encountered in Europe. They use the best of local ingredients and prepare them with care and excellent taste.The man behind this, Gagan, is one of the best hosts I have ever encountered. Welcoming, erudite, polyglot and international, he would be at home anywhere and here, at Bora da Besa, he has created a cultural and gastronomic oasis.The sea bass on a bed of sauteed chana, or chickpeas, was particularly good. A very new (to me) and entirely successful combination of flavours and textures.I intend to visit Tabla and Twist, his other restaurants in Lugano, as soon as the opportunity arises.

"Me and my husband chose this restaurant to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. We came all the way from USA and I can tell you this place didn't disappoint us. Very nice location, close to the lake and easy to find. We started our 5 course chef's tasting menu from appetizers by chef. It was mix of cheeses in different variations deep fried, cream cheese, cheese truffle and refreshing gazpacho soup. 1.Our first tasting dish were amberjack ceviche with fresh mint, peach and lemon sauce. It was absolutely delightful. 2.Then we had poached egg in creamy pea puree and shaved with Belèer Knolle cheese. It was also one of my favorite dishes because it was so creamy and egg was a great addition to this dish. Also there were Bona crumbles sweet to balance the pea puree. 3. Next Paccheridi Gragnano halves with oriental veal ragout. unfortunately this pasta wasn't my favorite. It was too al dente and I am not used to such a thick uncooked pasta. We ask waiter and he confirmed that's the way it should be. Also too much peanuts overwhelmed the sauce and it felt you are eating sneakers. But I absolutely loved veal ragout sauce, it was rich with flavors and very nicely done. 4.Then our next dish was Red Mediterranean tuna with charcoal, teriyaki mayonnaise, cucumber and puffed rice with seaweed. It was the best cooked tuna that I ever tried. It was so tender and melting on my tongue. 5. Next was perfectly cooked Duck with cherries. I absolutely loved duck, it was cooked to perfection!!! 6. Pre dessert strawberry basil puree to refresh tasting buds and prepare for the dessert. 7. Vanilla cheesecake with apricot and carrot sorbet with prune compote. 8. And complementary truffle selection from Chef to congratulate us with our anniversary. Absolutely best anniversary meal. I also loved that service here was very open and nice. It was my first Michelin star experience and I didn't felt any snobbism, like in other restaurants in Milan for example. Nice presentation, and all dishes were properly described in English for us which is additional plus since my husband doesn't speak Italian. Absolutely worth the trip!"
