"Always good , couldn't come this way without going to this restaurant . Really beautifully thought out local dishes with a lovely up to date slant . Very very good . The setting is lovely a small courtyard with a bubbling water feature in a...raised small pond .. Very calming and simply orchestrated .the small home produced bread tools are just too good to pass up and every course is a joy . We started with and avocado and smoked salmon millefeuille , thought we wound have the pastry version but no . A light lovely starter just the avocado cream layered with smoked salmon , a light touch there . Perfect . Then we chose off the weekly menu 3 courses 25€ the pork neck with aubergine . This was a beautifully trimmed pork chop with an interesting aubergine cream . Very well presented and prepared . The dessert off that menu was peaches and cream but I chose off the ala carte menu the choc and apricot tart with nougat one ice cream . Golly that was lovely . I will do that myself next time .. The nougatine ice cream was a lovely accompaniment for the delicious slice of chocolatey apricot gorgeousness . Nomnom ! John had the cheese and crackers and declared the Camembert superb .. A mixture of goat ,ewe and cow cheeses . Very well thought out . Definitely come here again . Might even try the hotel itself next time as I am sure the breakfast will be delicious .. if the lovely breads as well I would think ."

This was a bit disappointing. Lovely patio area but tables and chairs need upgrading, not too comfortable. Not too keen on the plastic tablecloths. The food was average as was the service. All in all not the best.

Delicious foie gras to start with, main courses of veal kidneys and rabbit were ample but not overwhelming in size. Great local wine recommendation which was very reasonably priced. The restaurant was pretty full for a Monday evening, which was a good sign! View menu

we visited the restaurant twice in the last three weeks. every time the service was excellent and very attentive. they were open to some unavoidable special requirements to my wife. the meals are great and with a very rich local taste. many thanks for this experience. we are coming back

worth visiting when they stay at the hotel. the room is pleasant and airy. the personal is friendly and efficient. the a la carte menu is a bit on the expensive side, but this is a function of the. quality of eating and service. there are also various set menus that are worth considering and that offer to me a better value for the menu. the wine list is extensive, especially on French weine and covers a wide range of trips.

During a week's stay in Pons we visited the Hotel de Bordeaux three times. It definitely seemed the best restaurant in town. There is a delightful courtyard, as well as plenty of room inside. The staff were friendly and efficient. We tried the 19, 25...and 31 euro menus and all were good value. From the menu d'hote the filet de bar roti, and petits poivrons farcis au fromages frais de Brebis were outstanding. There is a very good cheese chariot as well as other very attractive deserts, a good wine list, and also rather good Ruppaner bottled beer. View menu

After breaking down on the tolls and realising my vehicle was dead I asked for a local hotel for a couple of nights. The Hotel de Bordeax is where the tow truck guy dropped me off. I speak no French and only a little Spanglish...(with a West Yorkshire dialect) but the staff here made me feel very welcome and helped in any way they could. Even if it was a struggle communicating it's been part of the fun. The breakfast was buffet and continental but what else should I expect.. It was nice. The rooms are quiet and clean and the price is very reasonable. The village (it might be a medieval city) is perfecto... It has nice restaurants, pleasant bars, enough shops, a supermarket and history. It's...

Have visited this restaurant many times over the last five years or so. During that thime the quality has varied a bit but our recent and latest meals whave all been well up to standard and very good value. The Bib Gourmand rating is justified.. the food is very good. Often full during the summer, including the outdoor terrace, we've always found the hostess and her staff very welcoming and tried to fit us in. But in winter lunches are busy but evenings often very quiet. But they still take the trouble to prepare good food and serve it well. We usually reserve the menu degustation for very special events; the menu bib is a very good intermediate and the weekly menu is exceptionally good valu...
