"My wife and I decided to try Brady 's for lunch today after a few friends recommended it. We looked at their website and noticed their £7.25 fish and chips with mushy peas lunch special which sounded perfect. Unfortunately, it wasn 't on the menu when we got there. Our waitress came to our table to take our orders. She didn 't appear to want to be there. Not even a fake smile. I decided to go with the fish and chips anyway at £12.95 plus a side of mushy peas at £1.95. Shortly after ordering a couple came in and ordered the 'lunch special '. Then four more people came in and ordered the same. My wife ordered the sole which wasn 't very good but that might be why our orders came out later than those that the others ordered after us in the restaurant. Their £7.25 fish and chips and mushy peas looked exactly like what I received for £14.90! There was no difference other than what they paid. When I brought this to our servers attention and explained that we had originally come to get two lunch specials but didn 't see it on the menu nor was it suggested, she agreed to give me the lunch special price. When she returned, she had reduced the price of my meal to £9.25 but still charged me the £1.95 for the mushy peas. I wasn 't going to keep quibbling over a few pounds and just paid it. The biggest insult was that they added a 12.5% tip to the bill! What for? She wasn 't the happiest person to have at your table. She couldn 't even bring herself to tell us about the lunch special! The food is edible but nothing to go back for."

Ate here Saturday afternoon, there were two other tables occupied. Given this experience, doubt I will go back.

We were taken there my our son, who raves about this restaurant, and living in Spain sometimes we crave really good, proper english fish and chips.

Brady has been a firm favourite for years. Consistently fabulous fish, fresh with wonderful sauces and a warm welcome. A pescatarian delight. Great food, great venue and great service.

Another lovely evening at Brady’s. Excellent service and great food. We had a selection of starters, battered cod and John Dory from the fisherman’s catch. The desserts were homemade by Mrs Brady herself. Lovely ambiance. Would highly recommend. View menu

We come to Brady’s every few weeks and thoroughly enjoy our food and service every time. The owners greet us warmly and give us our favourite seat in the restaurant. The menu has a classic British fish and chip menu, lots of different fish, so plenty of options and all seasonal so it tastes great. Chips are included (and plenty of them! plus many great sides are available, the starters are all delicious too. Good wine list too and not too expensive. A great local favourite and always nice and busy. Will continue to go back regularly !

We've been coming to Brady's for 20 years and it never disappoints. Deliciously cooked fish.. crisp, light batter and juicy skinless fish.. proper chunky chips and the usual selection of sauces and mushy peas. The homemade treacle tart with custard or cream was rich and not overly sweet..perfect for a cold late january evening. Portions are huge, service quick and always with a smile. We had a fun birthday evening so the wine flowed (a juicy French white.. perfect with fish and reasonably priced) and everyone enjoyed the evening. Brady's is in a great location..overlooking the Thames on the Wandsworth side of Wandsworth Bridge and right beside The Ship pub for a pre-supper drink. This restau...
