"This was our first time here. We certainly enjoyed the meal, as the food was good quality and the menu was varied. A few veggie options for me I enjoyed the unique vegan salad with pickled cucumber and added fried halloumi. The beef bourguignon was tasty but only came with half a carrot and half a parsnip (and mash). Fruit crumble for dessert was tasty though microwaved so the crumble was not crumbly. We were pleased that there was free parking on site and the venue was impressive. Whilst the serving staff were lovely, it was the service that let them down here. Glasses and cutlery were watermarked, the table had salt over it and some of the chairs were dirty. Also, our drinks order was incorrect I only realised at the end that my non alcoholic gin was actually alcoholic. Luckily I just had the one. I’d recommend investing a bit more in training, so that staff can feel a bit more in control of the tables and more confident in the menu. We would go back, but would like to see a bit more ‘polish’."
