Des plats simples mais bien cuisinés, des prix raisonnables, un service impeccable, pas loin a pied des canaux et autres lieux touristiques mais incontournables de la ville, pas loin du port de plaisance et de la gare... on y retournera!

Had the set menu lunch plenty of choice, about 5 or 6 for each course. Both meals were nicely presented. I chose the chicken supreme and was delighted that it came with creamy dauphinois potatoes, and vegetables in a terrine, sort of like an omelette (sure it will have a technical name! The meal was great, but couldn't fit in the desert so was offered coffee instead. Great value and friendly service.

We visited here on 3 separate times during our stay in Sete. Firstly when we first arrived for lunch and we both had the burger, secondly on an evening where there was not an evening menu available however we had a delightful charcuterie and cheese board and thirdly on a Sunday lunchtime where we had the most delicious roast chicken and mushroom dish served with creamy mash and green beans wrapped in bacon. Just fabulous. Good value, delicious and friendly.

We were looking for somewhere for a quick breakfast before departing Sete and saw that the Brasserie was open at 7am. There is no breakfast menu and the offering is somewhat limited but if you are happy with orange juice, good coffee, a croissant or pane au chocolate then this will suit you, Clean, pleasant place to sit 5 minutes walk from the railway station. Waiter spoke English and was efficient and helpful and price was modest. A few more choices of breakfast items and would have given an excellent.

"La Marine Restaurant exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. We had come to Sète earlier than our reservation time thinking we would walk around the town, but we stopped by the restaurant to see where it was located, saw our name on our table (outside, our dog was with us . We identified ourselves to the staff and they immediately asked if we preferred to sit then or wait. We sat down for an amazing meal. For an amuse-bouche, there was a fresh and delicious tapenade served in shot glasses with toasted baguette slices. The staff promptly brought water for our dog. We then enjoyed Bouzigues oysters (a fresh batch which we saw the chef/part owner Magali cart into the restaurant straight from the Halles location! and Couteaux or razor clams in garlic, olive oil and parsley. Both were a revelation. I had a delicious rosé Nino, served by pouring it via a funnel into the bottle corresponding to the volume I ordered and put on ice. My wife enjoyed the Dos de cabillaud (cod and I loved my loup de mer entier. Both served with delicious vegetables and potatoes. We didn’t have dessert but we’re offered a shot of a sweet Muscat wine and little chocolate lava cakes as a sweet send off. All for $95 US. We can’t wait to return. All the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and cared for. Don’t miss this wonderful restaurant! They also give cooking classes at their sister restaurant Halles et Manger in Sète Halles."
