Brasserie Le Victor Hugo

This is a very special restaurant with a great atmosphere and great decor. the food and wine are very good with friendly service

This is a simple brasserie. The food came quickly, was hot and good quality. Not a fancy place. Service was good and the terrace in the Sun was very plesant.

Sat down shortly on arrival at Perrache station. Opted for the 'formule' du Midi. Absolutely delicious. A great first lunch In Lyon. Would happily have eaten there again but wanted a variety of experiences on this visit. View menu

I have never eaten such a bad pizza. The dough was insufficiently baked. The pizza was thick and had the taste of flour. Although I have asked for a pizza without eggs I got it with an egg. The price does not justify the quality.

Food was great: Pizza was what expected, thin, full with cheese and flavor.We also ordered a huge salad and red wine recommended by the waiter.The attention of the staff was excellent and the environment in the restaurant was awesome!My family and I would love to go back to Lyon and eat here again!

They had a good choice here for lunchtime set meals and we all enjoyed our food. It was a nice steak and chips, but did not seem the highest quality meat (which to be fair reflects the price). It was quite good value overall and my quiche was amazing and they gave you a good portion of it. Wine was tasty too. View menu

We had a nice meal at this Brasserie in Lyon. All enjoyed fish, we had two Brochettes Gambas and one Pave de Saumon. All were delicious and the service was friendy. As chocoholics we all had the Moelleux Chocolat and these did not disapoint us. The Macon house wine was fine and reasonably priced. A nice meal in a lovely city.

There were only a few restaurants in the area, so decided on Brasserie le Victor Hugo. We got an outside table so we could people watch as we were eating. I tried the plat du jour (25 euro) which consisted of salad Lyonnaise to start, canelle avec seafood for the main and apple tart for dessert. All my food was delicious. My partner had the sirloin burger (15.50 euro) which he said was very good. With our meal we enjoyed a 1/2 litre of cote du Rhone which went well with our meal.

We thought this would be a nice place for a coffee to enjoy the location, but our experience turned sour quickly as the waiter apparently did not have enough change for our 20 Euro to cover the coffees and promised to come back with the additional 10 Euro change... He never did and even on our prompting had "forgotten" that he was supposed to bring it back. We had to repeat a number of times to him that he was supposed to bring back our changed and then after about the 3rd attempt "Voila!" he remembered. Won't rush back unless we have the exact money. It really left a sour taste in our experience at this restaurant. View menu
